Ok - it's Friday night and I'm ready to pack. We leave early Sunday morning from Newark (7:15 a.m.) My thoughts run wild. What have I forgotten to pack? Did I pack enough underwear for my two men (how come they always take twice as many as I do?) Do I have enough t-shirts for warm weather, heavy shirts for cool nights, yada yada yada:hammer:

Can't wait two days, but I guess I'll try.

Talk to everyone when I return

See ya Belle, Cymbal, Freak, Spidey and the rest:sohappy:

I have our suitcases pretty much packed - except for DH. But from looking at the weather forcast, it looks like I'll be replacing the shorts with jeans.

Oh well ... anything is better than the lake effect snow we had this a.m. :D

I have starved myself for this trip, so sugar cookies are a possibility. Eating at the Yachtsman Steakhouse Sunday night. On Wednesday, the Brown Derby and for Thanksgiving --- The Coral Reef. Who wants turkey, give me maybe lobster:slurp:

OK now it's Saturday night. Little man had a bath, now the big man is taking one. I'll do it tomorrow morning at 4 a.m. We leave for the airport at about 5. They always tell us to get there 2 hours early and you know with all that security, it's for the best. Everyone's excited:sohappy: Packing has been done, the final stuff goes in the bag in the morning. So this is it until we return.

Belle - sorry I didn't return your call but I've been busy cleaning up the house a little. Talk to you when I get back.

Cymbal - if you can't come up for the lasagna, I'll ship it to you. Of course, I'll try some of those sugar cookies.

Soon it's time for :snore:

We're baaack:cry: Now I just need some time to sit down and write about our experiences in Disney. First a little commentary. We stayed at the Beach Club. Our room had two beds and a small balacony facing the Boardwalk. While the view was nice, the room had a lot to be desired, especially since this was supposed to be a Deluxe hotel. The room was too small to accomodate the two beds, plus a small table with two chairs and a small couch. A better use for this room was get rid of the couch, make it only a one basin sink vanity instead of two, and widen the bathroom a little bit more. When you sat on the bowl you couldn't open the door. If you went into the bathroom, the door had an inch to spare from hitting the toilet. The dresser was not big enough for a family of three, let alone four in a room. The dresser had five drawers in a tall narrow dresser. Also the t.v. cabinet had one side on the bottom with two shelves for some clothes. The whole layout of the hotel didn't impress me. It was like a maze. Hotel staff were great, as was housekeeping. The restaurant - Cape May Cafe - was a good buffet. Beaches and Cream was great for a quick bite (but you have to wait awhile because it is small) and great sundaes. Enough for now. I'll try to write more later.

I loved listenning to you describing the room! I have pictured it in my mind....do you happen to have a pic of that? hehehe... My family and I do the same and we laugh a lot wondering what the designers thought some things would be useful for! :animwink:

OK, I'll sit down tonight alone and write about the trip. But it wont' be that facinating. The crowds were big in Magic Kingdom, as expected, while the other parks were not so bad. We had a chance to see Fantasmic (without the dinner package because I wasn't eating at 4 or at 7 since the package was only good for the 6 show). I had changed my PS from Tuesday to Wednesday because there were two shows on Wednesday (6 and 8). We were so lucky. While we did have to wait about 20 minutes to get in, and it was crowded, we got seats right in the middle half-way down. It was a cool night, but perfect weather. In fact the weather the whole time was on the cool side, but face it who wants to walk around in 90 degree heat.

I know this isn't a lot, but I promise I will write more later tonight.

I completely agree with you about the Beach club, we stayed there back in 97 and we were a bit disappointed as well. The staff is wonderful as usual but the room ( we were just 2 of us so i can imagine what you're saying) are not what you would think for such a resort, and i know people rave about the pools but i much prefer the Poly or the Contemporary even the AKL for the pools. Our only fav about that place was the Peaches and cream restaurant and again you are right because the place is very small. Can't wait for more of your report !:D

I was being totally serious! I really was bitter about not being able to afford the Beach Club, and I really do feel better to know that it's not all that and a bag of chips! :)

Have an awesome time on your trip Miss Belle...enjoy a sugar cookie for me :slurp: ...please?

Miss Lilo, do keep on writing - I'm loving hearing all about it! :sohappy:

I found some time to write.
DAY ONE - Ahh, up at 4 a.m. and getting the last minute stuff packed. Off by car to the airport at 5 a.m. got to stop for donuts along the way, afterall what are they going to give us on the plane. Our flight leaves at 7:15, but we just hang out at the airport drinking coffee and having fresh donuts. The time comes to board the plane. We are in seats 18K,L and 17L. What's this? Well the plane only has 2 seats in a row and I'm in the row in front of my two men. OK, I'll live with that. But wait, there are people in our seats. We tell the flight attendant and she comes back 10 minutes later and says follow her. OK, our new seats are 3A,B and D. FIRST CLASS!!!! Reclining seats, free headsets, hot towels and a great breakfast. Now that's the way to start a vacation. We arrive at the Orlando, get the bus and get to the Beach Club about 11:00 a.m. The room isn't ready so we go to the pool and then have lunch. 2 p.m. room not ready, 3 p.m. (check-in time) room not ready, 4 p.m. room not ready. Hey, I got ressies at the Yachtman's Steakhouse at 5:30. We need to shower and get ready. Finally, by 4:30 a room. Not the way to start off at Disney. Of course they apologize, but that doesn't help. I already told you about the disappointing room so we can skip that. Enough for now, I'll write again a little later.

FIRST CLASS????!!!!!

That's completely awesome!

On my DH's last business trip, they screwed up his flight (and his luggage!) so much, that they bumped him up to first. I'm still mad about that one ... I've never flown in first class, so he shouldn't either!!

Can't wait to hear more!
