The only other one I would do is Crystal Palace.

We are going to be there for Thanksging also, we are staying at SSR, we have a 2bdrm villa, so I am going to run to the local super walmart and pcik up stuff and actually cook for us. I do not want to try getting in the MK on Thanksgiving day. becasue I am sure park will meet capacity & have to close for a while.

I'm having a hard time deciding. Our group will be between 10-14 and I want to please everyone since it will be a first visit for many in the group. A restaurant at one of the resorts seems like the best choice - I was thinking maybe Boma or California Grill.

Mickey's Backyard BBQ does a special Thanksgiving Day buffet.
We went to it one year.
It was very good, with entertainment.

I think they still do that.
It's near Hoop-De-Do in Ft. Wilderness.

A lot of the restaurants will alter their menu for Thanksgiving, like adding turkey as an item.

:)

IMPOSSIBLE, honey... seriously, you will make yourself crazy trying. There are so many great places in WDW to eat. As long as you all are together and THANKFUL to be there, Thanksgiving dinner could be anywhere. I agree that MK will be packed and probably best avoided, but if you decide to dare it, Crystal Palace would be great. Boma is good, but picky eaters will not like it. My daughter hated it and she isn't that picky. If you want plain, regular food, try Trails End at Fort Wilderness - one of WDW's hidden gems! GREAT food, its a buffett and very rarely crowded.... and the price is VERY good.

Those are both very great resturants, but are you looking for traditional foods, turkey & all the stuff? Boma is more African flare and is buffet.

The California Grill is more upscale, signature Dining. I have include the link and it has the menu there so you can see.

I hope this helps.

I just thought Boma would be good since there is a wide selection and I'm assuming they'll include some Thanksgiving offerings. I love California Grill - we usually always eat there our first night in Disney. Trails End sounds like a good idea.

I would go to Trails End before Boma. When we ate before like I said it is more african flare. Here is a link to allears.net, it shows what the buffet has.

Spoodles at the Boardwalk also had a great Thanksgiving buffet last year in place of their usual menu. Since they are closing very soon and re-opening as a different restaurant, I don't know what they will be doing this year. It may still be worthwhile to inquire.
