just wanted to thank everyone for making my disney vacation amazing!
because of everyone's advice, i was able to do EVERYTHING I wanted.. 100%.. no joke!
even with crowd levels ranging from 8 to10 throughout my vacation, because of advance planning, getting the right fast passes at the right times, getting to the park at rope drop... I did all the rides I wanted to do, some 2-3 times. Ate at all the places I wanted (be our guest, cinderalla's castle), and got to the best places to watch all the fire works shows without having to camp out 2 hrs ahead of time for anything (wishes in front of casey's corner was awesome)! Just to give a brief synopsis, rode 7DMT 3 times, test track 3 times, Soarin twice, all 3 mountains twice, Everest 3 times, toy story twice, tower of terror 3 times and so on and so forth. On each day, were able to secure 3-4 fast passes after the initial allotment of three, which during these insane crowds were a life saver. Everytime we used a FP, the standby line was always greater than 30 mins and sometimes as high as 180 mins (soarin). The longest line we stood on was for 35 mins at winnie the pooh of all places and that was because someone dropped something on the track causing it to stop for 15 mins! We made a list of everything we wanted to do at each park and every day we were easily able to cross off everything with time to spare.
I was VERY VERY upset that we planned this trip at such a busy time, but we made the best of it. We initially weren't planning on going to any meet and greets, but with all that extra time, we threw in a good amount just for kicks including anna and elsa which we were amazingly able to snag a fast pass for when we went to the kiosk at 8pm! The standby wait time was 135 mins! I guess someone cancelled. If I had to guess, I did about 99% of all the rides/shows offered (including hall of presidents, tom sawyer and the ferry boat! lol) and maybe 40% of the meet and greets (which is more than we were planning by a good amount).
We spent 1 day in epcot, DHS, animal kingdom, blizzard beach, typhoon lagoon, and 2 days at Magic Kingdom. We went exploring on the water park days around orlando as well. I did summit plummet!!!! which was amazing...and terrifying. The walk up to summit plummet is VERY scary. The stairs just go up and up and up and everything below gets smaller and smaller. I think that was by far the scariest for me personally.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I honestly believe that if I didn't read this forum and have a plan, I would have been miserable. YAY! Can't wait to go back!!!
