Rode it today. A welcome upgrade!! Had a premier pass and we were the very first to use the lightning lane ride today! And also, I ran into this awesome dude... Should have known he would be here today!! If you're a real Disney fan, you know who he is. :)

Just as I feared. I was hoping for something memorable but all we got is equivalent to a car dealership disguised as a ride ending. At least the last iteration gave you a good reason to stick around after the ride is over. This one just convinces you to leave as quick as possible. Now this definitely reminds me of old school world of motion.

Yeah….. I was hoping what I saw wasn’t the finished product but feared that it might be.

Even the vehicle displays were much better in 1.0 - can’t remember much from 2.0 cause I didn’t ride it much. Haha

That seems like a terrible decision from a marketing standpoint for GM. The previous version with the interactive stuff and photo ops actually caused people to spend time in the post-show area. This will...not. But then again, I'm an accountant, not a marketing guru.

I wonder how many people go to Disney and sees the ride is sponsored by GM and are like let's go buy a Chevy. Probably enough for them to sponsor the ride.

An impulse buy of a car at epcot seems about as likely as a guy proposing to a disney princess and actually getting a yes.

Shockingly enough even people of other careers have often had better ideas than those who are in that career so don't put yourself down. It happens all the time in truth.

There were times that we have been in the market for a new vehicle and used the post ride showroom to check some of options GM offered. We never rushed out of the park to local dealership to buy one but have seen vehicles to consider - and vehicles to cross off the list.

Honestly, my kids were never interested in the interactive options - they wanted to go check out the cars and be able to sit inside them when it was available.

I can assure you that I have never considered the phrase "I'm an accountant, not a marketing guru" to be putting myself down! :p

So glad the younger generations can experience EPCOT Center as it was meant to be. Like paying for the Ad-Free version and finding out they just put ads in the content- EPCOT was truly ahead of its time.

But old school World of Motion had a lot of exhibits in the post show, not just current vehicles.
