This refurb has now taken 100 days longer than the 1.0 to 2.0 conversion, and counting (but who's counting?)

Crazy that we still have no opening date or really anything beyond two pieces of concept art and a look at the vehicle wrap. Starting to get a little worried with how weirdly hush hush they've been for a ride allegedly opening in ~3 months
But they're testing, so they must be almost done!

It’s called “Test Track”…aren’t they always testing…?!?!?! 🤔 ;)
Well we're the "Dummy's" that get suckered into it..

I feel like Disney is treating this more like a standard refurbishment rather than a new attraction. And if so, I have no idea why they would considering its the only new "ride" they have opening this year.

I’m starting to think it’s not gonna be like World of Motion at all, lmao
I don't think it ever was supposed to. I think what they meant by "Inspired by World of Motion" was that the overall tone and message of the attraction would be similar (which can be seen by how they say specifically the optimism of world of motion), but the set dressing and plot would be its own original thing for Test Track.

Fair. I took the inspiration as the set design and maybe the song coming back, but if it’s just a generic “wow aren’t vehicles great?” then why even use WoM to bait nostalgia?

think of how much more glow tape they can apply in an additional hundred days!
