EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

As long we get real prop trees and a fully sung version of “it’s fun to be free” I’ll go home happy
Agreed. Sets and the song would make me happy.

Cherry on top would be the sea serpent, or a “yeah seven” refrence or something.

I do LOVE the new overhang thing. Real
Improvement, and makes the motion pavilion look like a pavilion again

Sets would be cool but I’d be shocked if it actually happened we are probably going to get screens with old scenes from the ride

Is anyone else slightly worried about the fact we haven’t heard anything else about test track aside from that one forest scene concept art and that blanket “world of motion” statement?

I dunno, gives me slight unease.
I don't think it's anything to be worried about, I just don't think this is a project they really feel the need to push right now. I'm sure more info will come out closer to opening

I recall an older tweet from Brayden (mickeyviews) saying how a good part of TT 3.0’s budget would be put towards physical sets. I can’t pull it up now but it’s in the WDW RUMOR TRACKER thread is you would like to take a look. He’s pretty credible so I would say physical sets have a good chance of happening.

I do think we need to temper expectations a bit - I know it will have some inspiration from WoM but it could be more just about appreciation, evolution of transportation and a lot happen in the queue and stuff like that

I'd love to be wrong and there are a ton of physical sets during the ride that harken back to it, but if so will be pleasantly surprised more than expecting it ... I think it will be more like the past versions of TT with some bids to WoM vs a merging of the two (which could still make it the best version of TT)

One key indicator for me will be if any budget is being spent on changing the ride movement profile. If not, I think we get more overlay and less involved scenes. If yes, then the opposite.

I agree. At its core, TT is a thrill ride with some low speed "setup" before the thrill. It would be nice to get some interesting physical sets for the slower parts. I don't mind some projection based stuff but hopefully something that is more exciting than the 2.0 projections.

My biggest request to Disney is PLEASE don't make this a VQ when it reopens.

I’m cautiously optimistic like any ride, but this is the first time in a hot minute I have genuinely been excited for a new Disney attraction. All signs are looking good for test track thus far

With they way they've pushed "Spirit of Optimism" I think it's going to be less "History of Transportation" from WoM and more "Man it's great to own a vehicle and this industry is doing incredible things for the car of the future" from WoM. I think that's still a solid concept and plenty of potential for it to be the best version of TT.
I think the “history of transportation” aspect will still be featured to some extent in the queue, though I’m still trying to figure out what they meant when they said the “six different exhibits will celebrate the people behind the vehicles.” My mind goes to showcasing people who have made innovations in the automotive industry but it could be anything.
