Test Track Question

Hi! I have a question. When we were at EPCOT on June 1 and 2, after the ABS segment, the audio turned off the rest of the ride. I heard other cars with audio though? Anyone know more?

It means your car had a breakdown -- I would report it to the Ride Op when you get off....

It happens all over WDW -- speakers that don't work or cut out in the Haunted Mansion, on Spaceship Earth, even the Jungle Cruise speakers that don't work...

But they can't fix it if you don't report it.

Exactly.

Don't count on it, but they may even let you ride it again so you get the full experience. :animwink:

Which IMHO is still one of the most boring rides in WDW, the major thrill being an acceleration to, what, 65 mph for 5 seconds? I can have that every day on the Autobahn. And the entire testing section is a joke. The "heat room" not much hotter than an average august day in Central Florida, the "cold room" not colder than an average air conditioned US-restaurant, not to talk about the "corrosion room". World of Motion was not that big kind of attraction but it was still far better than this wannabe-thrill ride. I did it twice, first with a FP to experience it and a second time in EMH in the morning to videotape it for my GF to show her how boring it really is and the she missed nothing, I will never ever do it again.

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Yes it's my opinion and what do you think makes your opinion superior to mine? Or do you believe anyone is more interested in your opinion about my opinion about a ride? Did I write that my opinion ist the only one that counts?
These boards are about bringing in your opinion and BTW without annoying those you don't share your opinion so perhaps you should watch out how you behave.

I agree completely, Test Track is absolute crap , like it makes me wonder "what were they thinking?". I don't even drive and I don't find it thrilling at all, the only mildly fun part is the beginning of the indoor tests.

I've never been on WoM, but judging by videos I can safely say that that was the superior ride.

I can ride any roller coaster with no problem, but for some reason the final high speed turn on Test Track gets to my stomach a lot more than drops on most roller coasters do.

I must be in the minority. But yeah, I don't understand the complaints - if you want intense rides, you're in the wrong place. And wrong resort.

Would you really want to be blasted with even more heat on a humid, 100 degree central Florida day? I agree that the cold room could be colder, though.

No one here talked about intense rides. It's not about intensity. It's about the sub-par theming and ride design. That's why TT will never become a classic like PotC, HM, EE etc. which are not exactly intense either but extraordinarily themed, designed and full of immersive atmosphere.

You know what was a classic? World of Motion.

Why not? It's only for a few seconds, the next room is a cold room anyway and when you get there you probably have already waited 30 or 50 minutes in an airconditioned queueing area. At least it would be something different, a heat room with the same temperature that expects me when I get out of the ride building again is a kind of joke.

Your car went into B mode.

It's not suppose to be a super intense thrill ride, but it looks fun to me. Test Track is the idea of being at a car testing facility and you are the test dummies.

I went to Epcot when I was a kid and was into science and history. Even I found Epcot boring. Nice to see that they have spiced things up a bit.

Anyways, report big problems that diminish the show.

I don't think the poster said or even made any subtle reference to his opinion being superior to yours. Relax. It was a quote from a movie...
