No.My family and I all love hibachi restaurants, but is Teppan Edo anything different than you would see at your local hibachi restaurant?
Worse.... And they don't do fried rice at the table...SkipMy family and I all love hibachi restaurants, but is Teppan Edo anything different than you would see at your local hibachi restaurant?
We love hibachi too and the last time I ate at Teppan, it was good however, we try to eat at different-than-home type spots when vacationing just to vary our experiences food and atmosphere wise. Like when in WDW, we don't have Italian as that's a dime a dozen where we are and skip anything Chinese or Japanese as it's the same.My family and I all love hibachi restaurants, but is Teppan Edo anything different than you would see at your local hibachi restaurant?
Having been to 20 plus Teppan places, I have never had the veggies with the bean sprouts at the same time. When they are served, they come at the end.. Thank god the high end places in Vegas don't even serve sprouts. The serve Garlic noodles...Same as a few other places I have been...We love Teppan Edo. We always get the filet and it is really good. Also enjoy the vegis. Our local teppan place skimps on the vegis and puts a bunch of bean sprouts as a "filler". The one in Epcot feels more traditional Japanese. As for the fried rice, that is a Chinese dish so they do not make it in Japan but for us that is not a big deal.

On the fried rice, I know it is a Chinese thing, but it is my favorite part so deal killer.
I like the veggies too.... That stinks... Agreed on the last partOur local place does separate the vegis and sprouts but they have cut the amount of vegis in 1/2 it seems and then they mix the sprouts with the noodles here so I cant even enjoy the noodles. But they do make a decent fried rice(depending on who makes it some put way too much soy sauce in it so that it is inedible). I do like the rice but I think the food at Teppan Edo is better then local. So I guess if someone does not have a great teppan locally then the one at Epcot is a great place to go.
Our local has better food but there are no actual Japanese people working there. That is the difference for me. I love the Japanese CMs and the service they provide.
