Teppan Edo-keep or change?

Thanks to all for your input. We decided to cancel Teppan Edo and made reservations at Sanaa. Yes we are doing Boma, and yes we have great Indian restaurants at home, but there was something very appealing about this restaurant that we decided to make the change. I didn't want to do another buffet or family-style dining meal, so Sanaa is a good alternative. With 20 days to go until we leave for our trip, I'll be sure to follow up upon our return.

We loved Teppan Edo and Liberty Tree Tavern. It all depends on what you like to eat. I would choose Liberty Tree Tavern over Tony's Town Square however.

You beat me to posting your post! Anyway, i'm so jealous you are going to 20 days. Have a great time!

Sanaa is a must try in my opinion.

I like Teppan Edo, but I don't think there is anything really stand out about it, other than it is in Epcot.
I have to agree with ^^^^ We went there the last we were there and I was kind of disappointed. The restaurant is beautiful and the chefs are fun but the food could have been much better. The chicken was dry and I think that turned me off. If you want to do it for the "hibachi' experience then by all means, but I wouldn't suggest getting the chicken :) Hope this helps :)

For me, Teppan Edo is slightly better than most other hibachi places, but it is still hibachi. I highly recommend going with Tokyo Dining instead. It's much more of an authentic Japanese experience, and the bento boxes are delicious. It's not just sushi (thought the sushi is really good), and they have kid-friendly options.

That reminds me, the sushi at Teppan Edo is, in a word, garbage.

I thought they would use the same kitchen as Toyko Dining. Nope. Everything they offer is pre-made and held. Nothing is made to order. You cannot get any variation of what is on the menu. My daughter wanted a cucumber roll, they could not make it. That was the first indicator - they had other rolls with cucumber in them, so you clearly have cucumber - why can't you make a plain cucumber roll? then my order came out. Clearly it had been made hours beforehand. If you are planning on having any sushi with your meal, run away from Teppan Edo.
