I’m sorry you guys.

I wanted it to be shocking and to push the boundaries by creating an “adult” theme park ride.

But like I also wanted it to be good and so far I don’t think that’s the general consensus. It feels like it was just shocking and not good.

I’m so sorry if I pushed it too far or didn’t actually make it an enjoyable read. I didn’t mean to let anybody down or frighten anybody.

I love you guys. 😔😔
This is still some really strong stuff here! I'm in the middle of reading it, and it does certainly pack a punch. I think some of the reaction might just be in how "extreme" this would seem using DC Comics characters in a theme park attraction in this manner, but I don't want to act like I know what others are thinking.

I do think it's neat, but if it's any consolation, the idea would also make a strong contender as an idea for a Halloween scare maze.

Thank you, Dash!

I’m just afraid that I may have stepped way over the line. And if I did I just want to apologize.

No don’t take it that way! The effects and immersiveness are great! I just, like the others, am not very used to seeing such a level of graphic content in a theme park. 😅

I like the idea of having a more “mature” park, but I do question some of the most graphic parts (like the visual bone, etc.), but maybe that’s just my squeamish personality.

Thank you for the kind words and also for the honesty!

You’re never gonna believe me ever again any time I tell you how squeamish I can get! For some reason there are just certain stories or characters or whatever where my sensitivity to such things just goes away for some reason.

Like. I actually thought the MK movie was gross.
But then I made this.

I am a puddle of confusion. 🤷‍♀️

Apologies accepted, if you feel the need for them! Personally, I think you did fine!

Finished reading, and you did have something very interesting here. That passion you have is definitely flowing strong here. I think the big thing is the shock in such a graphic approach for a theme park attraction. It's not a bad thing, but it's also such a fine line in tackling how much to show in a permanent theme park attraction. As I said, it's a definite contender for a Halloween scare maze idea, partially because that Halloween space tends to give more room to explore this graphic content (unless it's Disney).

Still, strong work with it, and the basic idea of Harley Quinn taking on the Joker can still work for a theme park ride (even if it's not quite to this climactic a finish).

Thank you so much! I’m thankful to know at least the passion I have for the character came through. Just pretend it’s October today.

Looking back as well I don’t think I ever made it clear enough that some of these ideas I had for the one half of this park we’re going to be age restricted, and that this would be one of them. (The X-ticket monicker).

And in my head I thought everyone was on the same page in that regard so I just went as hard as I could. Plus, sometimes these stories do get violent or graphic, so I mistakenly believed everyone kind of knew what I was going for.

I could definitely redo this and make it slightly less graphic so it’s easier to stomach and not as over the top.

Thank you for the kind and honest feedback.

Hey, #HalfwaytoHalloween is trending with Disney, so there you go!

Having that detail of half the park being age-restricted probably would have been good to better communicate. It certainly does paint a bit of a different picture with the proceedings. I admit that I was thinking that you'd have these darker IPs but presented in a PG-13 format, so you get their darkness without necessarily being as extreme. It really would be a unique idea having a "mature" section of a theme park where you could really go for gold on the extreme elements (like with the Mortal Kombat and Friday the 13th areas), but it's also something that could leave some guests feeling like they wouldn't get their money's worth (even if you explain very clearly that those sections of the park are NOT FAMILY-FRIENDLY!).

I had no problem with the ride! It was of course thematically uncomfortable a good amount of time but other wise I considered it perfectly palatable, although I must admit the idea of a theme park ride dedicated to someone murdering another person is a bit strange.
Thank you for the kindness and honesty, Bee.

And. Yeah. Yeah it definitely is. No argument there.

Oh see there ya go. I was just playing up the hashtag.....we’ll go with that!

All totally fair and valid points and I accept that. I wish I would have said more to properly communicate what I was going for.

And I can easily see how you would have had slightly different expectations going into this read not having that prior knowledge or warning.

Also, if you makes you feel any better about your own squeamishness, I love horror films, I love reading about Halloween Horror Nights, and I love thinking up how one can realize those scares mazes.

I am an absolute chicken when it comes to the idea of actually going to a scare maze.
I also do not like being in scare mazes!!

About the closest I'll come to attending Halloween Horror Nights is watching YouTube videos going through the houses and scare zones.
Haha! Basically same. I mean I could attend and then just not go through the mazes.

Honestly I think the biggest thing I hate is jump scares.

And I usually don’t like blood but I don’t expect anyone to believe me lol. Like if I get a nosebleed I become fainty and getting my blood drawn is an entire adventure.

Yeah, that is definitely the big thing about scare mazes. It's not just jump scares, it's jump scares that are in your face and right in front of you. No fourth wall to protect you.

At least a movie can take time to build atmosphere and dread, potentially making a good jump scare in the process. When it's not there, it's just a loud noise and creepy thing in your face. Just sudden, nothing more.

Riiiight?!! And no pause button, no changing the channel, no hiding your eyes until that part is over. Just,....in your face!
