It's a park rule and it sounds like officials were more than generous to give her free merch and fast passes for what should've been something she researched ahead of time. No fault with management here.

How they got in DHS without a problem (Unless due to families dressing up for Star wars weekends) Seems baffling..

She should've done the smart thing and go during MNSSHP where that rule is lifted.

HAH! I literally spit my drink out laughing when they said "She started the day looking like this [pic of her as Tink], but she ended it looking like this [shot of her with running mascara and disheveled." Great journalism. :ROFLOL:

On a serious note, I don't feel bad for her. I think it's ironic that they'll let someone in the shirt with a crude sexual reference on their shirt, but not a girl dressed as Tink, but I understand their reasoning. She should not have made such a big deal out of it, Disney offered her free clothes to change into...I say get over it.

The Disney website for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique states it is available to guests 3-12 years of age. A 15 year old may be young at heart, but the potential harm to younger guest confusing her with the "real thing" out weights allowing her to do that. Remember, face character are trained to say all the right and appropriate things.

Now I'm sure the policy is not always easy to enforce as evidenced by her being allowed in the Studios. Also, some 12 year olds, with make-up, can appear much older - especially if trying to look like Tinker Bell, as she is young looking anyway.

Exactly! They didn't have to give her anything. Her tears were a bit much. If thats how she acts from something like that, I wonder how she's going to deal with "real" problems in her life when she gets older.

I just saw this on my local news. Sorry, kid, gotta side with Disney on this one. Rules are rules, and the tears don't cut it. Count yourself lucky they gave you some free stuff and let you go.

I agree with Disney 100%, though it's odd - Can't adults get made up to look like Jack Sparrow at the Pirates League?

I think they do a "pirate" package and not Jack Sparrow, these two were specific characters.

I am trying to be sympathetic, but I'm pretty sure the parents called the media on this to get attention to her "plight."

I'm getting the Precious Snowflake vibe off her. :drevil:

She should thank Disney for saving her from being looked at like a crazy person all day. Over 8 years old your done with the costume thing.

I really can't feel bad for her... the rules are there! She was lucky she got into DHS (she should thank her lucky stars that she at least got to spend part of the day as Tink)!

I don't understand why she's so devasted!?! If dressing up as Tink and walking around the parks is so important to her maybe she needs to plan a trip duing MNSSHP.
