Another idea instead of a dark ride: use that area to make a 1900’s midway with classic attractions from that time such as a Ferris Wheel (pretty small compared to most), a whip, a caterpillar, etc.About halfway through filling out the slides. I sort of have the dark ride figured out so will write it out tonight.
Kennywood has all of those already. The Lost Kennywood area is basically a 1909s midway, and frankly a better resized version of what Disney attempted with Paradise Pier.Another idea instead of a dark ride: use that area to make a 1900’s midway with classic attractions from that time such as a Ferris Wheel (pretty small compared to most), a whip, a caterpillar, etc.
Oh, you’re right. I missed that section of the park!Kennywood has all of those already. The Lost Kennywood area is basically a 1909s midway, and frankly a better resized version of what Disney attempted with Paradise Pier.
That’s true!!They don’t have a vintage Laff in the Dark dark ride. A modernized version of that Gould work. Not sure exactly what that would entail.
Not a bad idea. I’d be for it, especially if it gives us a solid. dark ride. The factory building budget can split between the two rides, which is great. The judges might feel the two rides are too similar if you’re not careful. Perhaps the dark ride could have aspects of another Pittsburgh industry as well, perhaps their coal mining.@D Hindley i want your thought on this out part of the reason I was struggling was because the easiest thing for a dark ride is a factory tour but that’s what the coaster is.
But what if they share the building? This is something that you don’t see often but the boat ride could start off with the history of iron production in Pittsburgh and then transition to going deep into the factory to see the iron being made and at certain points you can look up and see the coaster above you.
It can be done, I’d just flip the spots of the dark ride and the horse carriage loading area.
Good point. Can focus on the Pittsburgh factory as a whole. I’ll make that switch and write it up then! Not a bad idea. I’d be for it, especially if it gives us a solid. dark ride. It looks stupendous. On mobile, I see no boxes or other problems. For the image, what about a four-way pic of the four parks? I’ll whip one up tomorrow along with maps for my sections. My slideshow is finished.

Iron City takes the guests into the early 1900’s to see how Pittsburgh looked at the time the park opened. Iron City will take the idea of a “Historical Park Village” and transform it into a single land. Guests can now travel through a Steel Factory, ride a horse through the dirt streets of Pitts...docs.google.com
And here is the website! The only thing that I can't figure out is the small "boxes" in various places on the site. Can't get it to work properly OR disappear...
I need a suggestion for the intro picture (where the Kentucky Flyer one is now) and let me know what else you think about it (and the completed slideshow).
Awesome! Love to hear there are no issues on mobile. All that’s left is that image and putting in the actual links (not sure how you want to do that for the slide show)It looks stupendous. Could the slideshow links go in the blue text for each park? That was my original intent.Awesome! Love to hear there are no issues on mobile. All that’s left is that image and putting in the actual links (not sure how you want to do that for the slide show)
Yeah I’ll make the links clickable to the slide shows. I’ll make them the presentable link so that when someone clicks it, the slideshow opens upCould the slideshow links go in the blue text for each park? That was my original intent.
And shall we keep it four separate slideshows? Mine got a lot longer than I’d intended.
It all sounds good! Let me know when the three slide shows are done and I’ll add the links to the website!@AceAstro, here is an image for the website:

I've also added a half-assed map to the Lagoon slideshow. Within the hour I'll likely do the same for Morey's Piers.
And I'll be making minor aesthetic changes to your Kennywood presentation to keep it closer to their website design. Hope that's okay.
That looks great!!![]()

With the four links below? I think that sounds good. How are we going to present it? Do we keep it simple with “BIG NEWS FROM REGIONAL PARKS [website link here]”
