Lot of great work today by all three teams! I'm very glad to see that we're all getting very close to working on the meat of the project.
Recap of July 14th 2020:
-Further brainstorming
-PerGronStudio leaving. I hope whatever the problem is, it works out in the end!
-I've started to work with Team DC so there's no problems.
Goals for Wednesday:
-Finalize the rides lists
-Let Team members chose their roles in the group.
-I'll begin to create the presentation

I was going to look into your website suggestion. What would you suggest as the best website creating platform?

The easiest one is Google Sites. It has a set template that looks pretty good but's obviously a google site. It also works online so multiple people can add to it.

The harder one is Wix. This actually lets you build the site, so you can either make it look super pretty and professional looking or lean into any worldbuilding you're trying to do (ex create an entire blogging site to pretend blog your project) the downside is it's not as nice to work with and only one person can edit at a time.

As this is your first site, I'd recommend Google Sites, unless you have a specific vision on what it will look like, then do Wix.

Even though the brainstorming threads were all pretty quiet for the first half of the day, there was plenty of great work today!
Recap of July 15th 2020
-Battleship is our first ride to gain a full description! Great job, @Outbound.
-I started designing our website using Google Sites (I'll link it here, once we've got a bit farther with designing everything(
-Splatoon and DC are getting closer to a finalized lineup.

Goals for Thursday:
-Finalize the rides lists for DC and Splatoon
-Let Team members chose their roles in the group.

@Sharon&Susan Out of curiosity, how in-depth should we get when it comes to discussing the attractions?

I'm going to be headed full into ridethrough with the dark rides. Flat rides are easier though. Here's what I did for the battleship flat ride:

I've finished Battleship and am working on Candyland. I'll post Candyland tomorrow, here's what I have for Battleship:

This maritime shooting attraction combines “Aquatopia” technology with real WAR! Well actually no. They shoot foam balls. But still, WAR! Board miniature battleships on the queue (2 ½ minutes unlimited), or stay on land and fire from the turrets (costs a quarter for 12 balls). Inside your battleship or next to your turret is a point tracker that updates as you accurately hit targets or other battleships. Try to best your prior score!

This attraction can be found in an enclosed area of water, surrounded by a large net to prevent the battleships from firing back at the turrents -- however, the rest of the space is covered in a pretty rock wall to prevent a "cage" like setting. This open environment allows for the battleships to crash, take cover, and do battle in an aquatic sandbox!

DC is on the verge of having a completed line-up, but what are the line-ups for the other lands?
The Hasbro land has:
Candy Land Dark Ride
Jenga Dropper
Operation Show
Mouse Trap Wild Mouse Ride
Game of Life Spinner
Battleship Aquatopia Shooter-type attraction

We opted to go with as many attractions as we did because they’re all relatively small, relatively cheap flat rides, and this area is the only primarily “kiddie” land

Totally. Everything sounds great. Hope to get the DC lineup up early tomorrow. We've just been trying to figure out one more flatride.

The Splatoon land (which we could probably just call Inkopolis) has two main attractions:
  • Splattack! (interactive shooter ride)
  • Cap'n Cuttlefish's Octo Expedition (river rapids ride)
In addition, we'll also have some street entertainment with a Squid Sisters pop show (like the stage shows in Wizarding World of Harry Potter).

Sounds amazing. Great call on the water ride, by the way. The park needs another one with Toon Lagoon being gutted, and it’s a pretty natural fit with Splatoon.

Can’t wait to see everything, and hopefully we’ll have some stuff to present soon.
