I can provide a bit of art if needed for the Frankenstein maze.
Totally fine with me. I just couldn't remember if you were doing the show or a maze, as you had mentioned both. Meaning that @DisneyManOne is doing the final maze, as that's the only other thing left.I thought I was doing a show in Poseidon with the elemental war theme. Unless anyone objects?
Sadly, PoE has little to no room for houses. Maybe could it work in Jurrasic Park?
Awesome! You have a pretty good choice of using the Trike Encounter, bottom floor of discovery center (not reccomended), or Thunder Falls Terrace. That would work too.![]()
This is good to go! What else needs to be done?Tartarus - A Takeover of the Lost Continent

Backstory
Hades welcomes all who enter his kingdom - normally. Tonight, he tasks the newly deceased with an unbeatable challenge. Enter Tartarus. Party with the demons. Leave Tartarus.
Seems easy, doesn't it? Well, it most certainly is not.
But why don't you find out for yourself
Ghosts
Walking around the town are extra people, dressed just like the average civilian would be. These are crew members of Universal's team, just like you, the guest.
Ghosts will sporadically be killed when walking around, and will die gruesome deaths (mostly loud).
The Feast
This should be the best part, right? The least scary. After all, who doesn't like a good meal?
Well, 10 ghosts a are "randomly" selected and seated at a darkly adorned table. The lord Tartarus himself welcomes them, and he speaks about the greatness of his domain.
After a solid minute of his speech, demons jump from behind the seats of the ghosts, and they bite the ghosts. Blood rushes down their necks, as they "die" right there at the table. The real guests, standing around the table, are in no doubt, appalled and terrified.
Mr. Tartarus
A well-dressed man, who walks around the party, asking guests how they enjoy it. He occasionally slips up and mentions how nice it would be to eat the guests.
He hosts the Feast.
The Lake
The Lake is dyed red in the nearby lake, to make it look like lava.
The Rocks
The nearby facade will have black and red projected onto it, to give hellish kind of feel.
The Old Man
An old man sits on the ground, begging guests for danakes (a coin used to pay Charon to cross the Styx). Obviously, no guests have this currency, and any US money that is given to him will be dropped on the floor as he yells "USELESS." He occasionally will shake a ghost, begging them for the money he needs.
A ghost will walk to him, and hand a coin. The old man smiles at the ghost, stands up, and tussles with the ghost. After a quick change, the old man throws a scarecrow, who resembles the ghost into the water (The guests don't know shhhh). The old man reveals himself to be Chaos, the oldest deity in greek mythology. The lake erupts in flames as he dives in. Mr. Tarturus shyly smiles, "The old pop has gone crazy." He declares that he will handle it later.
Frankenstein. The scarezones, mazes, and the like are supposed to be done individually, and will be graded individually, while the team as a whole will work on Frankenstein. This is good to go! What else needs to be done?
Out of curiosity, which lake is being dyed red? And also, which rocks are being projected onto? (just making sure it does not overlap with my portion)This is good to go! What else needs to be done?
I will read a synopsis of Young Frankenstein now.Frankenstein. The scarezones, mazes, and the like are supposed to be done individually, and will be graded individually, while the team as a whole will work on Frankenstein.
I was thinking just the big lake as a whole? Or at least the section around Mythos. And the building of Mythos I was thinking? Is that all right?Out of curiosity, which lake is being dyed red? And also, which rocks are being projected onto? (just making sure it does not overlap with my portion)
As long as it stays on the Mythos side it should be fine. Also, dying the whole lagoon might be a bit daunting. Maybe just the Mystic fountain?I was thinking just the big lake as a whole? Or at least the section around Mythos. And the building of Mythos I was thinking? Is that all right?
Sounds good to me. Is the area around Mythos too much? Or rather would projecting red light onto it be possibleAs long as it stays on the Mythos side it should be fine. Also, dying the whole lagoon might be a bit daunting. Maybe just the Mystic fountain?
I think this has to be a maze, though, so we can't even consider a show. Unless we want to maybe do a preshowSo, ot has been a veeeery long time since I've seen Young Frankenstein so I need to rewatch it before I'm really gonna be a ton of help. We need to make sure we're respectful with Gene Wilder's character though. I worry a bit about doing a show just because that would require another actor playing him.
Maybe the set up could be a wake/memorial for Young Frankenstein by Mel Brooks style monsters. Have it be a bit bitter sweet but with plenty of comedy mixed in. I don't know. I just hesitate to cast a random theme park actor in Wilder's role
I mean, we could do a show, albeit a smaller one. I promise you the judges won't dock points for going above and beyond. Hell, I'm doing a Spider-Man overlay on top of my scarezone, and they said basically the same thing.I think this has to be a maze, though, so we can't even consider a show. Unless we want to maybe do a preshow
Thats my bad. I thought it was a show. Well, its a much smaller concern as a maze. Though I still would personally vote we keep Gene Wilder's character out of the spotlight. Maybe we just hear his voice and see shadows. Perhaps one animatronic or projection at the end.I think this has to be a maze, though, so we can't even consider a show. Agree. Maybe we could do it where original frankenstein comes back from the grave to honor the death of young frankenstein ala old is young and young is old. Also, are we putting this one in the soundstage? If so, we xould make a mini land out of the path between the two.Thats my bad. I thought it was a show. Well, its a much smaller concern as a maze. I agree with both of these.I mean, we could do a show, albeit a smaller one. I promise you the judges won't dock points for going above and beyond. Hell, I'm doing a Spider-Man overlay on top of my scarezone, and they said basically the same thing.
That's basically what I was thinking as well. I really want the queue to go through the Blind Man's hut as well.I agree with both of these.
Our maze could be themed to the dungeon of his Transylvanian manor
Awesome! You have a pretty good choice of using the Trike Encounter, bottom floor of discovery center (not reccomended), or Thunder Falls Terrace.
We all work together on that, you still need to make another, individual project, to be graded as such.I could help out with the Young Frankenstein-inspired maze. I'm much more familiar with Young Frankenstein than any of the other films we've pitched.
I'd lean towards Trike Encounter, mainly because there is more room for a queue in the discovery center.I'm waffling between Encounter and Thunder Falls. Which of the two has the most room?
