So, if we go with after Earth, I have some ideas. A big thing in that movie was that the main evil alien monster could sense fear. So, I would suggest we do almost an updated haunted house ride.

Using the same ride system as Forbidden Journey could work wonders (and it is the one prompt using it isn't an issue with contracts since Uni has the rights). This system can allow us to do the more fantastic elements like flying across the alien landscape as well as the more intense elements. The divisions between seats will help this feel like almost a solo experience. We can have Will Smith talk directly to riders with onboard speakers at every seat.

For the handle bars on the restraint, have them be simple heart rate monitors (like from treadmills and such). That way your heart rate can be displayed to you throughout the ride as a measure of your "fear."

For the climax, Will Smith helps us "ghost" past the alien to defeat it (ghosting is being without fear so the alien can't see you). Basically he helps riders do deep breathing to lower their heart rate, we can mess with what the monitor's day if the deep breathing doesn't work. Throughout the ride, spikes in heart rate can be accompanied by Will Smith tellimg us "take a knee" and "Danger is real. Fear is a choice."

That's a really cool idea, kind of like a reverse shooter. Might make for a fun counterpart to MIB, another Will Smith alien ride in Universal. ;)

Whether we decide on Bedtime Stories or Chicken Little, what ride system did we want to do for either of them? Chicken Little I could see easily as a dark ride, but Bedtime Stories... all I can think of is perhaps an EMV-type attraction? You sit in a room on a bed, the walls break away and you're thrust into the main attraction.

Love this dude. Only comment is that the entire monitors could just be fake screens (like on mission space where it doesn't matter if you push the buttons)

For Bedtime Stories I can see a hanging ride (like the suspended coasters) in the Imagination Pavilion where you start in a bedroom. Walls come down. We fly through several scenes of a new story with narration from Sandler and the kids. Smoke, moving platforms, and screens can make objects just appear.

Alright - completely unrelated to the movie is the presentation.

What if we made a separate thread called SYWTBAI S14.1
One of us (or someone like space, spew, mickeyfan, etc. could do it) pretended to be the host and announced the project, teams (half of us work on each project), and due date. Then the two teams would submit it in there. Then we could be like "Now guest judges Tiki and MEw would be reviewing the project."

Two different presentation styles. And really fun.

Confusing. Yeah.. so I'll give a fake example below

THREAD TITLE: SYWTBAI S14.1

Project One: You're Tearing Me Apart, kev!

Based on TheOrginalTiki's "Tommy's Planet" project from Season Twelve

It's finally time to get to perhaps the most anticipated project of the entire season. This project was based on a concept Tiki came up with during a Blue Sky Project in season twelve. It was a MEGA E Ticket attraction based on the beloved cult classic "The Room"...which was located on the moon. Something that's actually relevant to the narrative of Tommy Wisseau if you read The Disaster Artist. Anywho, this project is very simple. You must design two E - Ticket attractions, one for a Disney park, the other for a Universal park. Naturally, they must be based off of TERRIBLE, critically panned films from the respective companies. I absolutely cannot wait to see the results! Good luck to the final six, and congrats on making it this far. You're on the cusp of making it to the semi-finals, so play your heart out if you want to make it to the end-game :) This project is due Friday, April 21st.

The teams are:
Team Dog (Coach: @kmbmw777)
@Pionmycake
@Snoopy

Team Cat (Coach: @Basketbuddy101)
@DisneyManOne
@Magic Feather

@Snoopy has opened the key to Walt's vault and found that Team Dog must base their attraction in Disney, while Team Cat must base their attraction in Universal!

Team Dog Submission: Disney Ride

Team Cat Submission: Uni Ride

I now turn it over to guest judges @TheOriginalTiki and @MANEATINGWREATH [link to main thread]
Also what are your thoughts on this?

I think that would be pretty neat, but we've had problems these last few rounds of people being rather busy and not able to do much beyond just one part of the project. This would be extra work that, unless you or someone else has the time to do it, might be best to forgoe.

I was home sick the last day of the campground project and filled in a lot of blank spaces. We never finished the Young Frankenstein maze. A lot of the last project was gotten together last minute and parts were either cut or cut down.

A simpler yet fully fleshed out presentation might be more prudent unless you or someone else will have time to finish it if parts are left unfinished.

That being said, this seems like a lot of fun. I'd love to try and write a fake 10/10 review from my fake Universal insider @eulersnotationonmycrumpets from the Halloween horror nights maze I did

I'm here til the end and I think it would work. Especially if we get the job done earlier.

Love the suspended idea, maybe it could be like a next gen Peter Pan, with the bed swooping down and pulling back up. :) I think my only thing about Imagination if we go this route is that the building may not be tall enough.

Hmm.. I am no expert with this, but could we expand downwards?

I'm no expert on the central Florida water table but I do know that Epcot was built on one of the swampiest parts of the already swampy WDW, so I'm going to say probably not. Any expansion would have to be upward. Of course Imagination does have a small second floor with the former ImageWorks/current DVC member lounge, so we could always expand out that way.

I would not be opposed to doing this. Maybe we could build an extra showroom next to the pavilion?

There would be room to expand behind O' Canada! in an employees only area (where the Canada log flume has long been rumored to go), we'd just have to make sure that the tall building doesn't interfere with the look of the Canada pavilion the way that Soarin' currently does. Then again Disney really didn't care about that when they were building Soarin', so whose to say they'd care now?

I feel like this problem can easily corrected by making the facade of the exterior very rocky - like a mountain.

Overall though, I think this idea is solid (but we should for sure through in a Figement cameo on the ride)

To be honest, if we built the show building behind Canada for the Bedtime Stories ride then there'd probably be enough room that we wouldn't even need to get rid of Imagination. That's up to you guys though.

I mean, I am all for getting rid of Imagination that way there's only one ride with the motif that Bedtime Stories will present

Another thing we could do would be to make a new build in Lauch bay, and extend the Hollywood Motif. Also, what if for one scene, we got to choose what happens next ala Horizons. Majority rules?
