Yea! I've got a few ideas.

So, for the main storyline of the ride I really want to include elements from the previous two attractions along with new elements to make a unique experience while also paying homage to the park's history.

I was thinking of having the story begin as a showcase of portal technology by Rick to guests, but it goes awry and guests are taken to the Council of Ricks. After some dialogue, the ride goes on a mad chase through portals to different worlds seen in the show (which is where we can have a randomization aspect like Star Tours as Nate (I believe) mentioned). Eventually we'll have some climax I haven't come up with yet and guests will return to where they were.

How does this connect to the previous two attractions? BTTF was a showcase of the DeLorean time machine by a scientist with questionable reasoning, which connects directly with Rick (who obviously has questionable reasoning) showing off portal technology, and it goes wrong. Then, one of the worlds guests go to during the chase will be the amusement park ride from the episode I linked above, which is similar to Krustyland when that ride bounced around the wooden coaster at the beginning.

Overall, I think this will be a fun experience for standard guests building off the technology already in place from BTTF and Simpsons while adding more to the experience (the Star Tours choosing of worlds to visit) and leaving some connections to the park's past for those Universal fans!

Those are my ideas so far. Any thoughts and suggestions are greatly appreciated!
This is fantastic!! Can’t wait to see what you do with it.

OKAY!! So recap!!

We’ve made significant progress already. Many of our team members were unfamiliar with the show prior to the prompt, and given that fact I’m truly excited about how far along everything already is conceptually.

I plan on having my specific segments of everything finished early in the day tomorrow and then I’ll be able to help with other stuff as necessary. And as always, I’m willing to lend a hand for some artwork if asked.

Again, very proud of everyone who has made it this far. This game is fun but also stressful at times and definitely a little chaotic (luckily I’m the Queen of the Chaos-Verse 😈), but we’re here!!

Keep it up and don’t be afraid to lean on each other for help when needed.

I was originally thinking that world would be a focus of the pre-ride but we’ve shifted the focus. Anyways, would we want it to come up every time or just make it truly random each time?

I would make it truly random so that the reference is more subtle. Not often are references to old attractions extremely obvious, and the best ones are more hidden!

Alright I'll just assume for now that everything that is a restaurant now, stays a restaurant.
I feel bad for not being more helpful in that department!! It’s not that these details don’t matter, they absolutely do! I guess I just hadn’t considered the idea of switching any around.

Do you feel like there should be additional retail??

GROUP THERAPY WITH PICKLE RICK

Everyone’s favorite Rick and Morty character is brought to “life” in this ridiculous new take on the Dumbo-style flat ride.

Rick didn’t want to attend a family therapy session, so he did the logical thing and turned himself into a pickle to avoid going. Now, he’ll instead be holding his own group therapy session with guests to Universal Orlando.

The ride is anchored by a 16’ figure of Pickle Rick himself, who will occasionally “speak” random lines of dialogue from the season 3 episode he originated from. Additionally, the ride vehicles, which were once flying saucers, are now round pickle slices. And the delightful scent of fresh dill pickles permeates throughout the area! Yum!!

Group Therapy with Pickle Rick lasts 120 seconds, featuring 12 pickle chip ride vehicles each capable of holding two or three guests, for a total capacity of 24-36 guests per ride, and 480-720 guests per hour when the ride operates at maximum efficiency.

I think we could probably turn the chicken place into additional retail. There’s already Moe’s, Krusty Burger, Duff Beer, Lard Lad, and Bumblebee Man Tacos. I think that’s PLENTY of dining for one mini-land. @Sharon&Susan

Also, @Sharon&Susan if five dining experiences is a bit too much, I’m personally cool with you condensing a couple of them. If you’re comfortable with replacing all five, by all means go for it, but that is kind of a lot.

I agree. I would say that we even get rid of some of that stuff to create new expeirences that aren't a store or restraunt. It would help create variety in the land as a whole.

Maybe to make it simpler we can just have the pre show in the garage then. And after that they walk into a new room that Rick created specifically to hold his newest invention (the attraction)?

So Rick seems to always steal the show. So in the Pre-Show, maybe he only shows up at the end. Maybe the preshow is the rest of the family talking as they wait to see what the new invention is. Like the Simpsons, we could do a farce safety video before guests go into their vehicles. For the queue, going away from the amusement park theme, we could have examples of Rick’s greatest (and maybe worst) inventions.

I actually was thinking that would be fantastic. I just wasn’t sure what we could do, as the space is fairly limited, but we can definitely think of something!
