Sorry it’s so dim but this is like, an idea I had for what we could be looking at as far as just the route itself. A main route, a couple of “short cuts” (penalties) and a couple of “go back” routes (rewards), which could exist simultaneously alongside the standard “move this many spaces forward/backward” cards and whatnot. Tried to make it feel zany without being too much. If this is cool, I’ll try and actually turn it into something that looks like a game board.
We could also have a square representation of the actual ride layout. I was thinking there could be two main tracks players can go on, but there would be spots they could switch tracks at for different reasons (maybe better cards or something else).

Eventually, both tracks lead to Hell, which is the finish line and the last person to reach hell wins!

Those were my thoughts. I've been swamped with school so I haven't been talking much, but I'll try to make a visual representation soon.

Here is the introduction:

Test your luck on Disney’s brand new board game Mr. Toad’s Wild Game based on the hit Disneyland attraction Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride. To celebrate this fast-paced attraction, guests will be able to play with their favorite characters as they try to avoid the depths of the underworld. This ride will incorporate aspects from both iterations of the ride like the policemen, the dual tracks, and so much more. So bring some friends over and test your luck playing Mr. Toad’s Wild Game.

I am working on the rules description now!

Here are the instructions! I think I got everything, but let me know if I need to add or remove anything as some of it is kind of vague since we don't have full details for it yet.

Goal: Move forward as little as possible to be the only player not to reach Hell.

Equipment: Players will need the game board, a die, a maximum of four figurines, sixteen chance and challenge cards each, a policeman, and plain ol’ luck!

How To Get Started: Players will pick one of the four figurines and place it on the starting tile. Before starting the game, each player will roll the die once. The player that rolls the lowest amount will start first and the player who rolled the highest will go last. If there is a tie, players will continue to roll until the tie is broken.

How To Play: With the goal of the game being to be the last person left on the board, players will need to try and roll the lowest number they can. The first player(s) to reach the end of the board are the losers of the game while the last player on the board wins the game.

Obstacles: There will be challenges on the path as this isn’t an ordinary game. First, there will be the “Chance” cards where players can test their luck in rolling the die to either help or hurt their game. Then there are the “Challenge” cards where players can test their knowledge on questions based on the attraction and short film from 1949. Lastly, there is the policeman who will follow the players via “Challenge” and “Chance” cards as both winning or losing those cards will affect the policeman’s place on the board. If a player(s) lands on the same tile as a policeman, players must roll the die again and move back however many they land on.

No
Goal: Move as little as possible and don’t be the first player to reach Hell.
Don’t know if I’m allowed to give suggestions being a spectator, but you might want to change this to “move forward as little as possible”, since I believe I heard you can move backwards sometimes, and moving backwards is good. 😅

Here’s my proposal for the Chance Cards write up.

Chance Cards

After landing on a chance square, the player will have the option of picking up a chance card or ignoring it. The chance card could help the player improve their position, however it could also end up working against them.

If the player opts to pick the chance card they’ll be faced with a task and the result is up to their luck. Some of the tasks will reward the player if they successfully complete it. However, others will act as punishments if they fail to complete it. Therefore, players must be mindful about their current position in the game before taking the risk. A chance card gone wrong could take the player from the furthest from the end square to being the one closest to it.

I keep going back and forth whether the player should be forced to pick it up. I guess to give them the option would add a little strategy.

Here's the updated bottom of the game since most of you aren't on the Slides (sorry for not including the senseless jargon). It might not work to get a 3-D version of the box with such a time crunch.
