So, @TrevorA

The magic show is neat, but one of theb other teams is kinda doing that. Same thing with the park (I believe they're still doing that).

So, we were thinking of doing a Main Street Good Citizenship award for the A-ticket. The plan would be to have guests vote throughout the day for different Main Street Citizens and then every evening have a little ceremony whoever got the most votes is presented with a "Good Citizenship" award. That's the general idea at least.

B-Ticket we were thinking doing the World's Fair type thing. Sorta like an Innoventions, but in 1901. This would connect from the side street to the castle hub along the bypass.

C-Ticket
Like I said, one of the other teams (younger?) is doing something magic show themed. So, we were leaning towards the trip to the Moon Dark Ride. Our concept was to tap over the Main Street Theater. Have the cars be bigger (like 6 seats by 6 rows maybe) so when guests sit down, it's like they are sitting down to watch a Trip to the Moon at the cinema. Then the cars start moving and you're in the movie. The ride could exit in Tomorrowland in between Carousel of Progress and Buzz Lightyear.

Tomorrowland Terace would be cool for this, but without the Cinema entry point, it might be weird theming it to look like Main Street and not Tomorrowland. Right now our connection between the ride and Main Street is the Cinema. Also, space. Tomorrowland Terrace's back stage area really isn't big. It doesn't net is much room taking it over. Especially if we'd need to add a new Wishes seating area and an arcadeor something in the front.

BUT if you guys would much rather use that location, we can make it work. Just let me know relatively soon since this is due tomorrow night.

And I'm glad you are a Disney expert too. I work in the Main Street Ice Cream Parlor. Together (with kmbmw's talent and creativity as well), our disney knowledge is sure to lead to some exciting projects in this game!

We can still use our world's fair as a transition from Main Street to Tomorrowland without even touching the terrace. It's one entrance/exit is at the end of the current bypass. That's between the plaza restaurant and the terrace. So, however we theme the facade of that world's fair/expo entrance can transition the two lands better

Yeah, just double checked. Younger is doing a Mickey Magic Show dark ride, so probably best to stay away from the Magic show concept. And mist is doing a city park type thing.

Yeah, I mean, it was just something I thought of. We're kind of sacrificing realism a little but on this project by building out behind MSEast (since you work at Plaza Ice Cream you already know) so we may as well go all out with it!

You've brought up a good point about TLT. I was thinking of the large footprint onstage, but backstage has the Turkey Kitchen and I don't know what MK would do without that infrastructure. Again, since we're fudging the realism none of this matters.

So is the Worlds Fair idea anything like the old DLR concept for Edison Square?

The only realism we're really sacrificing is moving the parking lot back there and moving the dumpster underground (like most trash on the park). Everything else back there is pretty self contained during park hours. (And a break room, but there are two in that area downstairs, so it isn't a big loss).

I was picturing some Edison Park inspiration myself.

Do we have any ideas for it so far? Also, have you guys split up the workload at all yet?

Originally I was taking Trip to the Moon and @kmbmw777 was gonna do the world's fair expo thing and the citizenship award.

But that was before you got all your account issues fixed. So, things may be divided up differently now. Your sense of humor could be a great fit for expanding the citizens of main street (maybe even add one or two new ones). Or however things are divided up is fine with me. I'm a big old movie buff, so I love to still do Trip to the Moon, but I'm open to splitting the work on that one if you want. I'm open to whatever.

I love the movie dark ride idea endlessly but it's completely your thing, you have all the vision for it.

The Citizens thing is already pretty specific too, while the fair is more nebulous, so I'd probably be more successful with the latter. But we can wait to see what @kmbmw777 wants to work on and I'll just take the other thing.

He's working on a website for us too. We could also have a team member collecting all of our submissions before the deadline and shaping them into a fluid singular project. My team Mist got dinged for that last round.

@Pionmycake, do you do any art?

I can kiiiinda do art, but not super well. And with work today and tomorrow night, i really dont have a ton of time to work on art. I was thinking I'd do a basic layout map of our expansion, but that's about all I think I'll be able to do. And if you want to be in charge of editing stuff to make it more fluid, I'm totally ok with that. We had Thatguyfromflorida do it for my team last round and it worked out well.

Yeah absolutely I'll do it! Alternatively if you wanted to do it (and could spare the extra time, I suppose), I could probably get you a drawing for your Moon ride of medium-sized quality.

Sure! Go for it! A drawing of the facade would great since the ride itself can be illustrated with frames from the film

I am working on the site. I think we should be fine if we just post our submissions to this forum, but idk.

Okay! So can I pick your brain about what you're imagining the visuals of this are gonna look like? The cinema is an existing facade, are you looking to alter it significantly? What about queue and ride vehicles?

Also since I'm contributing the World Fair portion (thanks @kmbmw777!), do we have any existing ideas on what that's gonna look like? What were your guys's head-pictures about that space?

Can we combine the World Expo and the Expo Hall in any way? Can we connect to Trip to the Moon in any way?

I believe our only existing idea was 1901.

Wait, @Pionmycake you are also a CM? I knew about Trevor, but not you! I used to work at DL myself.

Sorry for the off-topic spurt, continue with your day. :p
Yup! I'm a college programer working in Main Street Ice Cream Parlor. I'm actually currently on break sitting where we are talking about building! I remember you talking about your time as cast on your video reviews before I think. You worked in fronteirland, right?

I didn't know @TrevorA was cast too! Where do you work?

For the expo, I was picturing a glass ceiling walkway with interactive exhibits on either side taking the place of the bypass going from the side street to the hub (since it can't be the whole bypass if we r using the Cinema as the trip to the moon entrance as the ride will cut across the bypass.

As for the trip to the moon facade and queue and stuff, haven't thought about it being too significant a departure. Just using the existing cinema as queue. Maybe have displays about turn of the century cinema and the invention I film in the queue. Then you go into the "theater" and sit in the ride vehicle. The movie starts to play, but then the wall opens up and you go into the film

Oh okay! That's what I was thinking too. I think that's called an arcade, in architectural terms - a covered walkway with arches holding up the ceiling. That was sorta what I was thinking in my post on the last page.

What goes inside of it? What sorts of exhibits?

The inside of the cinema is like the size of somebody's bedroom. I think you might be thinking of a bigger space than that for what we need. Have you visited the queue for Great Movie Ride? After the Chinese theater exhibits, where the queue snakes back and forth in front of a movie screen. That's what I'm imagining based on your description.
