Old Virginia Expansion

A wise man once said a “Great Idea Never Dies” and here at Imagineering these words and ideas echo through our halls. When Disney acquired Cedar Fairs and particular Kings Dominion, it seemed like a perfect time to pull out some of the shelved idea from Disney’s American Celebration. This felt like the perfect opportunity to explore America’s History through and Virginia’s influence on that. So step into the past and explore Old Virginia and America’s History.

Industrial Revolution

Through out Kings Dominions forty plus years of history, the park has made statement trying to create some of the most memorable and thrilling attraction available from the industry. From the First LIM Launch Coaster to the first LIM Inverted Launch Coaster, Kings Dominion has stood at the forefront. This tradition continues in Disney’s Kings Dominion’s latest expansion, “The Industrial Revolution”. This new land reflect the chaos and dangers of the industrial revolution in America featuring a brand new state of the art coaster inside of a Steal Foundry and a brand new Dark Right into the world of the Industrial Revolution.

Disney’s Kings Dominion

Original built in 1975, King’s Dominion is nestled in central Virginia in-between the historic cities of Richmond, Virginia and Fredericksburg, Virginia. With it’s location in middle of Historic Virginia, Disney felt that this represented the perfect opportunity to explore American’s History and follow Eisner’s Dream of bringing History alive. Step back into past while exploring various areas of America’s History, from our International relations with countries around the world to America’s sense of Adventure and Exploration. Walk through history as you explore Old Virginia and the founding of America, enjoy the sun as your family walk down the boardwalks, or step into the chaos and thrills of the American Industrial Revolution.

So explore history and visit Disney Kings Dominion with your family this summer.

Et voila! I call it Revolution. 3 launches, 2 chain lifts, and a metric butt ton of helixes and banked turns.
