Taxi from DW to universal?

Hi everyone! Sorry if this is already posted somewhere I haven't come across it... Does anyone have experience taking a taxi from DW to universal? Cost? Recommendations? We want to go to Harry potter the day we arrive after checking in at PORS. Thanks a bunch!

Yeah, you can get one but as you leave the property you'll drive by Mickey and he'll be looking at the cab and shaking his head sadly at you and he will shake his finger at you in a scolding fashion.

Not to highjack this post but we are going to be doing the same thing and wondering about the trip back. Are there cabs that can hailed outside of universal?

We took a cab from the same place you are staying and it was about $70-$75 total.
I had three people so it split a little nicer then just paying for the whole thing.

There are cheaper options but this was definitely most convenient to not having to plan ahead.

It usually costs me $40-$45 to and from Universal/Beach Club.

There is a cab stand at Universal. Just follow the signs and you will see it.
