Taping of Christmas Parade in MK

We were there in 2002 for part of a taping (I think we saw our oldest son on my shoulders during subsequent viewings of the tape!). It is BUSY. CM's try to provide a walkway on both sides of Main Street during the taping, but it is very crowded.

BTW, thanks for the dates. My parents and sister will be there during that time (we arrive on the 8th, so I'll miss the Meet-n-Greet ), and I'll be sure to tell them to avoid MK those days if they don't want to endure the crowds. Or to go those days to possibly see some celebs.

Thanks for the info! My hubby and I will be arriving later on the 4th and were planning to hit MK whne we got in because they are open until 11. :hammer: I would rather have a root canal then have to fight the crowds. SO much for it being a quiet week at the world. Between that and Pop Warner and the Mega Mouse Meet It is going to quite busy!

Is the entire park crowded for this parade? I'm not a big parade person. I find parade times to be the best time to ride rides. Especially during MVMCP. Just wondering if the crowd seems to hover around the parade route. On the other hand, that just may be a great day to hit another park....

The park wasn't busy at all last year during the taping. It's became more congested as the evening approached. However during the morning and afternoon most of the attraction wait times were reasonable. We arrived early that morning and the gates were already open at 7:30am. Have fun!

We were planning on being in MK that night since it was open late. Now we are doing MVMCP 2 nights during the trip

I am hoping to go to the MK until around noon or so on the 4th and then maybe head off to either MGM or AK after that until I have to leave for the airport at 6. I won't have a chance to go to the meet because of my flight leaving that night, but I'll keep an eye out while I'm down there. My picture is in my profile so you can keep your eye out for me too!

I can't wait to see who's going to be there for the taping, I'd love to get some celebrity pictures. I just took a ton of pictures the other night at a Rebecca St. James, Newsboys, and Todd Agnew concert! (They are Christian for those who don't know.) I had such a blast and love spending time talking with celebrities.
