Speaking of children's authors, there was a piece in our paper today about Eric Carle - he has a Museum in western MA of Picture Book Art - 'The Big Hungry Caterpillar' is very popular with our son, so the article was fascinating to read. Their web page is picturebookart.org

I had a long and interesting conversation with him once - he's a bit of an odd duck, but I love his books!

Here's the short version...

the male with whom I am unfortunate to cohabitate with (not my first choice, just for the record!!!) is y with ME because I thought the stupid Thanksgiving School Feast was Tuesday, not tomorrow. So now here I am without Ranch Dip (how's that for an authentic Thanksgiving treat???) and I had the audacity to ask him to run and get it, while my sister, who doesn't work outside the home, has time to refinish antique tables, so why do I suck so bad as a mom???

Joel can say the book from memory, he's heard it so much. I just checked out the web page - Abby would love it there, she's interested in writing children's stories someday.
