If you don't mind me asking..Where are they in the parks. My son thinks that I am on CRACK. I showed him the post but he doesn't believe me. We are going in August and I want to have him use them the whole trip just to prove it to him that they are real.

Some brooks babble, but at Epcot the babbling is done by some of the enchanted drinking fountains! You can find at least three fountains that will talk back to you: 1) Face the "Fountain of Nations" with Spaceship Earth behind you. The talking water fountain is outside Mouse Gear, on your left. 2) There's another to the right of the magic/play fountain between World Showcase and Future World. 3) The third is behind Innoventions West, near the restroom.

It's bad enough that the water fountains talk, but you can also find a sassy talking trashcan in Future World, near the Electric Umbrella restaurant, next to Innoventions.

There's also a talking trashcan that moves around over in Tomorrowland. It follows guests around... totally hysterical to watch poor unsuspecting souls.

I've seen the talking trash can in Epcot around Innoventions, but I've seen it numerous times at the Animal Kingdom at the Conservation Station or Rafikis Planet Watch, whatever they're calling it. I've also seen the talking and moving palm tree at the Animal Kingdom entrance.

If your familiar with Live365, check out Park Hopper Radio. From time to time they play quick little sound bite's from both. With the talking water fountains, you have to listen very closely. I've seen many people use 'em and not even think twice or at least look at 'em like what the.........then again, maybe no sense of humor.

On my families 2000 trip to Disney...we had our first run-in with the talking trashcan. My sister was holding our autograph books when the trashcan came up to her and said:

"You want my autograph? I'm going to be famous someday..."

It kinda scared her because she was like....oooook...what was that...

I ran into the talking fountain behind Innoventions West completely by accident. The funny thing was that the audio refers to water, and the water wasn't working in that fountain on that day.

That's sad. I would be totally bummed if the fountain wasn't working.

As for the guy working the controller for the talking trash can...I ALWAYS thought there was a guy in the can...oh well...I guess our dreams are now crushed...but its ok...

Talking trash can

I saw the talking trash can, being controlled by a guy following at a discreet distance. He had a bag, like a large camera case, over his shoulder, and his right hand was in the bag where the motion controller was hidden. He had a microphone clipped to his left hand, and we would cover his mouth when he spoke so as not to tip off the youngsters, who were his unsuspecting targets when I saw him in action. He would stalk a 5-year old, and then when they finally turned around, he said, "Hi, my name is Push. What's your name?" It cracked me up watching the children’s reactions.

Now that I know what to look for...I am going to see if I can find him the next time I go down there...It would be fun to find him...

I love Push! My friend and I were shopping in the store across from the Speedway. It comes up to us and says, "hubba hubba college girls". Which made me laugh since it happened to be my 30th birthday. Nice ego stroke on a day where I was feeling old hehe. It then went into the back room and a CM told us it's name was "Push", gotta love Disney humor.

Hey Everyone,
does anyone have any pictures of the talking trash can or fountain? I haven't been to Epcot lately but I'll be there in September and it would be great to have an idea of what they look like. Thanks! :)

I don't have a picture of the talking trash can...but I can tell you what it looks like. PUSH is the name of the trash can. And it basically looks like the normal trashcans they have through out the park. The talking one in EPCOT from what I remember was at the Electric Umbrella restaurant by the condiment bar...But I'm not sure...I forgot to check this past trip I took. I hope that helps...
