Im going back about 3 years or so but there was a talking trash can at Rafiki's planet watch in AK. I know this because he followed me and I tried being all cool and ignoring him ( i was a "cool" 18 yr old at the time, haha) and my uncle was walking next to him and told him to say he had bon jovi tickets(my fav. band!) I never turned around so fast in my life! Needless to say my family has still not forgotten that!

That's the only talking trash can I've ever seen at WDW. I loved him so much, I finally figured out who was talking for it and went and talked to the guy. He was so nice, and was telling me what all he does and how he does it. It was so magical seeing the faces on the little kids when he (the trash can) would go up to them. He asked little children for their wrappers and even asked if they would share their ice cream. It's priceless, I wish I would've taken pictures of it.

There's also a talking trashcan that moves around over in Tomorrowland. It follows guests around... totally hysterical to watch poor unsuspecting souls.

OMG, I saw this one in action when I was there last week and it was hysterical! It was right across from the Tomorrowland Speedway, and it took me awhile to pick out the guy controlling it. He wheeled (walked?) right up to a kid eating an ice cream and said "Can I have some of that ice cream? I'm pretty hot out here"? And then a guy walked buy and threw a water bottle in, not even realizing, and the trash can yelled back, "Thanks for the water buddy!" Then it did the funniest thing EVER. It went right up to a line of people in the smoking area and said "Don't you people know that smoking is bad for you?" I almost keeled over laughing on the spot, especially since my mother was one of the people smoking and the look on her face was priceless!

We stumbled upon Push in Tomorrowland (near the Stitch building) on our recent trip. My 6 year old son wanted to stay there, and kept asking all day if we could find him again (we didn't find him later when we looked). I've never seen kids hugging a trash can before, so this was hilarious.

I happened to be wearing a Universal Studios tee shirt (I know, totally wrong, but it was our last day and I had NOTHING else clean to wear!). Push gave me a hard time which had everyone laughing. It was SpongeBob Squarepants, and Push was singing the themesong.

My son was insistant on finding out how this thing worked (he's very much into computers and is ALWAYS taking toys and stuff apart just to see how it works). So he finally figured it out and found the man controlling it. It was so precious, because he whispered it to me because he said he didn't want the other kids to find out how it worked. And it didn't stop him from enjoying it at all.

I saw the talking trash can, being controlled by a guy following at a discreet distance. He had a bag, like a large camera case, over his shoulder, and his right hand was in the bag where the motion controller was hidden. He had a microphone clipped to his left hand, and we would cover his mouth when he spoke so as not to tip off the youngsters, who were his unsuspecting targets when I saw him in action. He would stalk a 5-year old, and then when they finally turned around, he said, "Hi, my name is Push. What's your name?" It cracked me up watching the children’s reactions.

That was a different thing. More like a character meeting thing. These are actual garbage cans for waste that have recordings in them. They talk when you open them up.
