I really hope this isn't the version they are gonna go with! I much prefer the actual voice actor who can seriously see you and talk to you! Distracting the guests by cutting them off mid sentence to do a Disney themed trick isn't only annoying but you kinda feel like Oh, he can kinda talk but I'm not really supposed to talk back. Hopefully this is just another version they are testing cause I really just want this guy
The girls face when he says her name I think says it all. This is what would amaze people, people will say He is actually talking to me he said my name. Instead of I see how they did it its prerecorded, it just way more impersonal he might as well stay silent if he isn't going to interact with guests.

Love Love Love this Either one is awesome. the second one is better but yes would require a live voiceover. Though Epcots Turtle talk with Crush does have that interaction as does The Monsters Laugh Factory to some degree. Hmmmmm

I wonder if he was just having a hard time understanding and hearing the little girl in the first video. You probably have to speak pretty loud and clear for who ever it is that needs to hear you, whether the person in the head or elsewhere.

Wow, that first one bit. I too hope that's not what they're going with. Surely with today's technology, Disney can create a voice synthesizer or something to put into the head so that when the CM inside the suit talks, Mickey's voice comes out. Or however the second one worked. THAT was amazing! Come on, TDO, don't blow this, for crying out loud...I was really looking forward to meeting that talking Mickey. But the version in the first video reminds me of Madame Wardrobe in the Belle attraction. While SHE'S talking, the CM better keep up with her and not step on her lines, or it looks contrived and lame as hell.

That second video was awesome! It was like they actually had a real conversation, I think that would be really cool. However, if it was between silence and the first example, I would stick with silence because that first one just didn't work in my opinion.

I usually step back behind my camera at meet-n-greets like this and let my little ones enjoy the silent show. But if there were a meet and greet with the Mickey in the 2nd video, I might have to be a part of it. Of course, if Mickey starts speaking to me directly, *I* might be the one who is speechless.

I know as a kid I easily caught onto to stuff like that, in my head it would piece together as he isn't really talking to me this isn't the real one

The first one is very creepy and robotic. It feels like Mickey is looking right through the guests instead of interacting with them. It's like Talking Robot Goofy on the Bench of Tony's-level creepiness. The second one is absolutely adorable though. Watching that second video made my day.

This is a perfect example of Disney showcasing what they can do and what they will do just to save money.

Its definitely a pre rendered recording in the first video not a live interactive actor.
he says the same stuff in this video at the very beginning.




in this video he does more "Games" to kinda distract you from the fact that you can't really interact with him
