His name is "PUSH". He works the Tomorrowland area. His relative "PIPA" works Consversation Station in AK.

The trash can in Tomorrowland is great - the palm tree planter in Animal Kingdom is great as well. It wasn't at Conservation Station when I've been there. At least twice, I've seen the talking/moving palm planter toward the entrance of Animal Kingdom. I watched the thing interact with people for 20-30 minutes in the plaza in front of the ticket lines while a friend was in the guest services line. People (especially little ones) were freaking out over the thing.

By the way, does anyone know where the cast member controling the thing is. I swear, I looked all over the place looking for somebody carrying a complex looking remote and couldn't find a thing.

You're thinking of "Wes Palm". He works the entrance to AK. "PIPA" is the walking, talking trash can that works Conservation Station.

One of my son's favorite parts of our special day at MK was seeing Push. He was talking to him and hugging him and it was quite funny. After a few minutes, the mechanic-wanna-be in my son figured out by himself who was operating Push. He came over very quietly to point him out to me (I had already found him) and he whispered to me that he didn't want the other kids around to figure it out cause he didn't want to ruin their fun. My son was 6 at the time and I was pretty impressed with his find!

PUSH is hysterical. The kids just love him. The guy controlling him makes a very distinct point to stay out of photos. :)

They can try, but there are just too many cameras. It's a useless endeavor. However, the operators are very sneaky!

Isn't that the funnyest thing! I love him, I can't believe he is still around. My frist trip to Disney World in 2002 I went to throw something out and it scaried the hell out of me. For the rest of the day I couldn't throw any thing out because I was scaried the can would yell at me. I even remember what he said to me. I went to throw away a cup and he said, "Are you touching me??" I screamed like a little baby!!

My son loves to figure things out like that. He started taking toys apart when he was 2 or 3. He got into an "arguement" with a cast member when we were waiting in line to see Goofy, and we were next, and Goofy needed a 5 min break. We told him Goofy had to use the restroom and would come right back, and my son then proceeded to explain to the cast member there that it would take awhile for him to take off his costume. Of course the CM denied it, and my son continued to demonstrate how Goofy would "take his head off". The CM was shocked at this, and would not give in. It was quite hilarious. Sorry for the thread drift...

Push gave me a hard time because I was wearing a Spongebob shirt from Universal Studios...I wore it ONLY because I had NOTHING else clean!! But Push wouldn't let up on me. He had all of us just cracking up!

We interacted with PUSH back a few months ago and my kids had the best time with him. The best part was when he told my youngest daughter Alexis that he wanted to be her boyfriend. We laughed about that forever. But here's the best part. When we came back to Tomorrowland a few HOURS later, PUSH came rolling over to us and started saying, "Hey look everyone, it's Alexis my girlfriend." I was impressed with the thousands of people he sees, he still remembered us. :sohappy: We'll never forget that!!!
