Ive never had a problem understanding a CM per se, however some didn't understand me LOL. We have a tendancy to *tawk fast* and the New Jersey accent sure doesn't help (think Brooklyn... we're pretty close in articulating or lack there of, and forgeting Rs from time to time" Many times, Ive had a CM say to me... "New Jersey, right?!?!?!" LOL

You think you've got problems.My Glaswegian accent is so different from my DW ( Galloway/Irish ) I once said to her " Thats a Murkle nobody was hurt." When watching a stunt go wrong on TV. She asked me " Whats a Murkle " ? I looked at her and said," When Jesus turned the water into wine."

I could use some of that wine right about now! Finishing a trip spread sheet!

The only misunderstanding I've had at Disney was while waiting in line for Splash Mountain and trying to explain to a Latino looking chap that there was no way I was letting him skip the queue and explaining that he should get his derrière back to the end of the line.

I don't remember the specifics, but I have. Although I always figure out what they're saying in the end. The one time I do remember was at check in at POR last year. The guy was from some country in South America (can't remember which). I hard a difficult time understanding him at some points, and he didn't understand us at times either.

Never had a problem understanding a CM, but I did have some great CMs at Akershus try to teach me how to pronounce kjottkake so they could understand me. I was a big hysterical failure.

I am from Pittsburgh so it can be as bad as other accents. But I don't believe I have one. I had trouble with my waiter at via Napoli it was a strong Italian accent.

I am originally from way upstate New York but have lived in Pittsburgh for nearly twenty years, now. People ask me all the time where I am from bc I have an accent. I think it may more be bc my mom and grandmother have very thick Scottish accents. My 8 yr old DS says Picksburgh and tennis shoes, and it drives me crazy. Noone here plays tennis

I've never had a problem understanding a CM's accent. HOWEVER, one day my family and I ate at the San Angel Inn in Mexico and our waiter must have had laryngitis! In a restaurant so loud he was speaking like the Godfather. His voice was so hoarse and so low we could barely hear him, and he also ended up never bringing out my dad's order.

I call them sneakers or running shoes.
