Wife andI will be at the World May 5 - May 11 and the plan is to do only dinner at at a table service restaurant in the parks (bringing breakfast and lunch). We ate at JIKO 2 years ago and it was very good, is it still? Any recommendations on other table service restaurants. Note-- not looking for seafood restaurants as we get fresh fish at home.

I definitely recommend checking out Disney Springs. They've done so much with the area and it makes for a fun evening just walking around and soaking up the atmosphere (much more crowded Fri and Sat nights with locals so plan accordingly). Almost too many great options to choose from. We've enjoyed Boathouse, Wine Bar George, Frontera Cocina, Morimoto Asia, Raglan Road, and Homecomin'. Most (not Homecomin') also accept reservations via Open Table.

We still enjoy Jiko very much and love spending an evening at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

One of the best meals we had this past June was the dinner buffet at 1900 Park Fare (Grand Floridian).

If you like Mexican, try Frontera Cocina in Disney Springs. It's a Rick Bayless restaurant. The tortilla soup is to die for. Guac is excellent too. Haven't had a bad meal yet.

Where are you staying? And are you strictly reliant on Disney transportation? If you are, are you willing to book a Minnie van if need be to get to a reservation in another hotel without 60-90 minutes travel time each way?

Best steakhouse is at Shula's in the Dolphin. We are done with the Yachtsman. Too many bad meals there. Forget Ale & Compass. California Grill & Brown Derby are always good. Ohana was great two years ago and pretty bad this past summer. Via Napoli is great, but stay away from Tutto Italia. Go to Trattoria Al Forno for pretty good Italian on the Boardwalk. Be sure to hit Ample Hills Creamery.
Chef Art Smith and Raglan Road are great at DS.
