Table Service @ MK?

Booked my June trip today and now I'm getting cracking on ADRs. With only 90 days to go (actually 88 at this point!), I want to get this locked down.

Doing the dining plan for the first time and so I'm looking at more Table Service restaurants than I have in the past. I've eaten at the Liberty Tavern enough (and enjoyed it) and I want to try something else.

Tony's reviews scare me and in my area we have rock star Italian food so I'm not really interested there.

I don't want a buffet so I think that means the Crystal Palace is out.

The menu at the other Main Street restaurant looked weak too (can't remember the name off hand).

So, I'm thinking about heading to a Monorail resort for dinner. Don't want to spend the 2 credits for Citricos or Narcoosee's (and Cinderella's Royal Table) and I think 'Ohana is already booked up. Given all of these limitations, I'm thinking about The Wave at the Contemporary. Anyone have any positive/negative experiences there or some better suggestions? Thanks!

I hate to breaK the bad news to you but if you didn't make ADR's yet for June you might not get a seat at any table service restaurant at all. I suggest calling ASAP

You won't get your dining plan moneys worth at the Plaza on Main Street, but it is good. If you are heading to a monorail resort for dinner then I suggest Kona Cafe. I can't comment on the wave though because I am yet to eat there myself.

You could also look at Ohana. It is not a buffet, but family style. Grand Floridian Cafe is another choice. We had lunch there once and enjoyed it.

We ate at The Wave a couple of years ago. It was good. I thought it was better than Narcoosee's and only cost 1 credit. You can also walk there from the MK instead of waiting for a monorail. It tends to be one of the places that is easier to get ADR's at too. I would say give it a try.

i had both a really good lunch and dinner at the wave in the last year. check out the menu and see if you like what you see. don't forget you can consider the restaurants at wilderness lodge also. it's a quick trip from mk.

I enjoyed the Wave on our last trip. And, as a sidenote, we didn't have ADR's for it until the morning of the dinner. I called while on the bus on our way to the park. Of course, we also were OK with a 7-8 dinner time.

As far as ADR's go. If you're flexible, you will still be happy. Yes, you might not be able to eat at the EXACT restaurant you want at the EXACT time you want - but, if you make some concessions on either the location or the time, you'll be fine.

Since its just two of us going, I haven't had any trouble at all with the ADRs except for Ohana being booked the Saturday we arrive.

After the suggestions here and a little menu research I decided to go with the Kona Cafe. Thanks everyone!

went to the wave for breakfast during my last trip. many people suggested it as a "hidden gem". so, we booked it. i was pleasantly surprised. it was indeed very good, only took 1 credit, service was great too...

i would book there again to try it for lunch or dinner.
