Table for two at 'Ohana?

Thinking about 'Ohana for breakfast or dinner.

My wife and I would make for a party of two. We're not anti-social in any way, but we're not always comfortable being seated with strangers for a meal and prefer to just be together on our own.

From the WDW site photo, it looks like most of the tables at 'Ohana are at least for 4 or 6 persons.

Can someone tell me if a party of two would be seated at their own table, or would they have to share with other diners? I know they serve 'family style' I believe, so this also made me wonder.

Thanks for the help!

First of all, I want to thank you for spelling 'Ohana correctly. It drives me crazy to see it referred to as an Irish place.

I have eaten there with only 2 people. They put us in a table for 2. Our wait was not long at all even though the whole restaurant was full. The table was a bit crowded for how many dishes were on our table.

I've been an Irish offender but was quickly corrected. LOL

I've eaten there many times with just 2 of us, no problem! I agree that no matter when you go, it will very likely be almost full. It isn't distracting or annoying, it helps add to the atmosphere.

My husband and I have gone for dinner there many times, just the 2 of us, and sometimes we were at a table for two and sometimes we were seated at a four topper. Always a lovely meal.

DH & I ate there a few times alone before we had DD. We were seated at a 2 person table, never with other people. It's always been pretty well booked when we've been there too. It's one of our favorite restaurants, you are sure to love it!

I've been for both breakfast and dinner, and I prefer dinner. Although it is more crowded, I feel as if the atmosphere is better. Being a party of 2, you should have no problem getting in, however, what time of year are you going? Season or not is always a big factor in my book - even at a popular dining destination. As always, I recommend getting there early. However, 'Ohana I always get there even earlier. Being a table of two, and getting there early, leads to the possibility of getting a view of Wishes.

'Ohana is family style service, not communal seating. You sit with your party and only your party - just like at other family style places - Garden Grill, Liberty Tree Tavern, etc.

Biergarten is a communial seating place. There you may be seated with other people not in your party, just like in a biergaten. As far as I know, Beirgarten is the only communial seating establishement at WDW.

I've been part of a party of two on three occasions at Ohana's. We were never seated with anyone outside our party. Twice we were at a two top and once at four top but it was just us. I will warn you though our two top was on the outer edge of the main middle walkway (if you've never been there's a center area with tables that's carpeted then a square/rectangular walkway with hard floor then the outer tables on carpet. the hard floor is where the kids do the coconut races. Both times we were seated at a 2 top the table was on the edge of the hard floor) we learned during that first trip to lift our feet during the coconut races lol.
