T-Rex vs. Rainforest...

Ok so I am scrambling to make a few dining reservations, already knowing I have missed out on the places I REALLY wanted to dine at. That being said I have Liberty Tree and Biergarten booked. My DD loves the Rainforest Cafe but have eaten there many times. What is the biggest difference besides the decor at the T-Rex cafe at Downtown Disney and the Rainforest Cafe at AK? Are they both similiar experience wise?

I've done both. I would recommend T-Rex. Same kind of food, maybe a bit better at T-Rex. The atmosphere is much more "intense" at T-Rex. Every 15 minutes or so there will be a "meteor shower" in the restaurant. The animatronics I believe are more grand and realistic than Rainforest. It's also cool to walk through the different areas corresponding to different prehistoric areas - and its something different.

Ive never actually eaten there. Hwever on my last trip I tried to pick a TS location in each park or for each day and we looked at almost every restaurant we could for research based on our food likes, so we made reservation for more than we need and canceled as needed as well. This way I knew we had a slot, point being if yak and yeti sounds appetizing to you make the ADR and if you find something better make another and cancel that one. It has a asain theme, so I do recommend any of the asian places in Epcot.

I agree with @fractal T Rex is better... but be prepared... you are paying for the atmosphere... I remember paying close to 20.00 for a burger and fries... But hey... your on Vacation!! :)
Nothing available at T Rex 6/9-6/13! I guess I should have checked first. :( Oh well I went ahead and booked for August. Luckily our trips are frequent because of were we live that I have that pleasure. Thanks for the advice in any case. We have never gotten out of Rainforest for less then $100 so was kinda thinking in would be similiar at T-Rex.
