Hi!
I am wondering if any Macromedia Flash experts could help me with something. I am a beginner at making flash animations, and I don't know what particular Flash program can make .SWF files, I've tried Flash MX, but that saves them as some other format which you couldn't open on Internet Explorer. Sorry if this question sounds stupid, but I really want to make some animations and possibly put them on the internet.

Hey Kev...

I don't know how sophisticated you want your flash to be but I use a very simple flash program called "coffee cup firestarter."

You can download a trial version of it at

Like I said, don't look for sophistication but this program does some neat little things and it might be a good start to learn how the flash thingy works.

I have the latest version of Macromedia flash MX and haven't yet used it...
