ok so this january i turn 16 and my parents convinced me that instead of having a big party thatll only last a few hours, i could take my best friend, Morgan, with us on a trip tto Disney the week after my birthday!!! so we asked her and her parents and they said she could go! so its official we r going down for a quick 5 day 4 night trip january 26th through the 30th! my friend and i are so excited! she hasnt been there since 2001. she didnt even know what the magic kingdom was!(poor girl) we are going to try and get into bay lake too so we dont have to waste time on the bus ride the MK. ahhh im just so appy and grateful my parents were willing to do this for me:D

We too are taking our daughter for her sweet 16. Her birthday is also in January. But our trip won't take place until the end of May/beginning of June. It was totally her idea to go. We gave her the choice of a party or a trip to Disney. She wanted the trip. So we all win!:D She invited her best friend but she didn't have the same outcome. The girl's parents never answered me, and when I kept asking they just gave us the run around. Their kid wasn't going to have to pay for anything but food. And if by chance they had free dining she wouldn't even have to pay for that. So my daughter said to stop asking. So it will be just the three of us but she says that she is happy with that and we will still have a lot of fun. Have a great trip and a wonderful sweet 16!!!

What a great idea, I'd go to Disney any day over having a few hour party, great choice :). I wish my parents would have done the same for me on my 16th. Sounds like you are super excited, I hope you and your friend have a magical time! Happy Early 16th!!

Love it! My friend did something very similar for her daughter's sweet 16 this past December. It was such a huge hit with her that she's asked that they do something similar for her high school graduation. Have a great time!!!:)

We did something similar to this with our son for his senior trip at school. His class was going to spend 3 days in NYC, we asked him and he really didn't seem interested in going. So we asked would you rather have a trip to WDW in Dec before graduation. He's such a smart kid, took the WDW trip. As it turned out with doing a road trip for college selection he ended up getting two WDW trips during his senior year.
