Swan or Dolphin - Which is More Romantic?

Proposal ideas:

S&D definitely over Coronado.

S&D have some pretty great concierge staff. Talk to them about setting something up on the beach. During day light hours you can propose while sailing on their Swan paddle boat. BlueZoo can make an intimate dinner for you by letting them know. Often BlueZoo has these three sisters who sing. They're lovely and I bet they'd get in on the act with you providing great music in the background. Also, can propose in front of the dolphin fountain outside. Very romantic at night. Or on the bridge that connects to Y&B/Boardwalk. Good luck!!!

I spent one night at the Dolphin last year at the end of our trip...my daughter just HAD to have one more day at AK..o_O I really liked the rooms (starbucks and 2 bottles of water complimentary in room) found the bathroom area kind of small compared to the POLY but about the same size as CSR a moderate. The lobby was beautifully decorated at the Dolphin for Christmas..did have a more corporate feel to it compared to Disney properties. I stayed at CSR before and really liked it. In fact I LOVED the grounds, the hammocks on the sandy beach in front of the cabana rooms. Nice pool and hot tub. I liked the food court area, although my daughter did not.I actually think the views and the grounds at CSR are maybe the most beautiful and serene of all the disney properties I have visited so far. The actual the queen rooms do not have much of an upscale feel to them like the Dolphin did..maybe a king room would.
For location alone I would probably pick Swan or Dolphin unless disney theming is very important to you because I did not get a disney theming vibe from the Dolphin at all..just a very nice resort feel to it right near HS and Epcot.

And to answer the other part, definitely go with the Swan over the Dolphin. It is much quieter and has better rooms.
I agree it is more intimate, quieter and even closer to the parks. You forgot to mention the bathrooms and shower. Nothing can compare on property. Once you stay here and make great memories you will have the same great associations with Disney that you have with the Disney owned resorts. And the Swan is a Westin resort which means quality. Many people who don't like it haven't stayed there.

Moreso than CSR?
Personally, yes. There is something inherently romantic about New Orleans to me.

You know compared to other places I have travelled I would say any hotel in WDW or near it is pretty tame at night. I've stay in many resorts with night clubs and casinos, those places usually go well into the early morning hours before it gets quite.
Quite true. Disney tends to roll the sidewalks up around 10:00 PM.

So Coronado Springs king-bed room would be better suited for me and my girlfriend? Planning on proposing while down there...
Swan or Dolphin is the better choice over CSR...for a proposal you could do it anywhere on the Boardwalk (very Romantic) walk back to your hotel at ease go to a nice dinner at either hotel go for a fun night out at Jelly Rolls, my girlfriend and I prefer the Dolphin but you really cannot go wrong she will love both. Have Fun!!!

I read some threads about these, they are hard to come by now. Finding them at weird places like hostess stands at restaurants that don't normally have engagements happening, also at some of the hotel desks.
I'd snarf them up off of ebay, cheap enough. Equally hard to find lately is Just Married and Honeymoon pins.
In larger quantity is the Happily Ever After button.

It says on the eBay listing that it's from 2011....I'm assuming that wouldn't look like the 2013 edition. Hence we probably won't get the benefits if it's an old button right?

You can't go wrong with either at the Swalphin, and the other is a short walk away. The Swan is smaller, more intimate - but doesn't quite have the variety in shops and eateries of the Dolphin (which offers a nice, small bar-only venue as well). From both you're a short walk from the Boardwalk, which is where the real magic is, IMO.

There are no real benefits to the button. People just say congratulations and if CMs are feeling VERY generous, you might get something.
