Need to know more ... have you stayed here? What did you like/not like?

I can get a teacher's rate that is comparable to a Value preferred rate? Take it????

i stayed at the dolphin 3 times. its a great hotel. they have a 24/7 cafeteria, i think most cafeterias at the other resorts close at midnight, so if you get back late from emh you can get some food. rooms are comfy and spacious. its in a great location too, you also have the nightlife from the boardwalk and its a nice walk to epcot. you should definetly go!

I wouldn't stay there over the Deluxes, or even the Moderates.
But if you can get in a a Value rate, jump on it. Great location! Beautiful properties!

I love staying at the Dolphin and this is probably where we'll stay from now on, since the Contemporary and Polynesian have been priced right out of our budget. The rooms are large; the beds are "heavenly"; internet is included in your "resort fee"; and you can walk to Epcot, MGM, the Boardwalk, and the Yacht & Beach Club. I would put the price with the nurse/teacher/government rate more at the price of a Disney moderate resort, not a value, especially if you want a view that isn't of a roof and/or you want a balcony.

DS wants to stay as close to Epcot and DHS as possible, so I think this is a no-brainer. Pop was $155 preferred per night, moderate standards were $205 per night, whereas my teacher rate at the Dolphin was $159 with a free upgrade for being a Starwood member ... and this is over Easter.

We will be paying an extra $36 for the Mears shuttle back to the airport, and when we come into WDW from the coast, we will be dropping our car rental off at the Dolphin so it makes sense to me. (And I can cross another resort off my "stayed at" list!)

Dolphin, here we come!

I just stayed at the Dolphin for the first time this past weekend (oct 2-4) and LOVED it. I loved being able to walk to Epcot, and in the evening walking through the boardwalk area. The beds were so comfy. We stayed in a refurbished room with flat screen tv's and it was so clean. The only two downsides to staying there is you can't get a key to the world (which allows you charging everything to your room key so you don't have to carry money or other cards around) and they extra charges they put on you. i had a florida resident rate of $159 a night but it ended up costing us with the extra resort fee, taxes, and parking $188 a night. But that would not stop me from staying there again.
