DVC resort? :) I might even be dumb enough to buy into the timeshare if it was a Star Wars DVC resort.

Unless they removed everything in that area it seems to small for hotel.

I certainly hope they relocate the mini-golf if they're looking to expand the S&D. There's not enough not park entertainment as it is. We tried to mini-golf back in April not during Easter weeks and the waits were 60+ minutes.

What they need to build here is either a bridge or a tunnel that pedestrians can use so they don't get mowed down by speeding drivers while walking to the Fantasia golf area.

edit: Oh and if they want to level those outdoor pavilions to the left right of the golf course that would be fine too! They are ugly, dated and frankly are just an eyesore.

So, it could be...

1. Parking garage for Swolphin, so as to put more conference space in current parking lot. (@wdwmagic has stated it's not a parking garage)
2. Parking Garage for DHS CMs with walkover (Jim Hill & @lentesta, but, @TarzanRocked99- says Jim is incorrect, as well as @marni1971 and @wdwmagic)
3. Resort rooms by Disney (DVC? Star Wars theme?) (nope, it's a Tishman/Marriott property)
4. Monorail station (source @busdriver, rebuffed by @marni1971)
5. Conference space for Swolphin. (@artvandelay )
6. Resort rooms by Swolphin and the mini-golf is staying (according to @marni1971)

We're a week away from the height test anniversary. At least we got it narrowed down to a Swolphin additional tower that will leave the mini-golf in place. If rumors be true...

The footprint of the Dolphin is 4.4 acres. The footprint of a tight-fitting new tower, leaving the mini-golf in place is 7.9 acres. A less tight-fighting footprint (in red) is 5.6 acres.

Hopefully a wing or the bottom floor will be a parking garage. The Swolphin charges for parking and I wish they wouldn't have to.

As far as a sight lines, by Mexico, the new tower, if visible will be slightly to the right of the Swan. As you walk to China, the Opee should disappear completely behind the Swan.
