SW1K - The Plan

For anyone interested in witnessing SW1K (see previous thread here regarding my son reaching 1000 rides on Snow White's Scary Adventures), the current plan is for him to hit the 1000th ride at 12:15 tomorrow, give or take five minutes. We will be arriving in the park at about 10am and stopping by Guest Services to give them a heads up in case they want to do anything special. My understanding is that Snow White herself will be making a personal appearance for Ben during the break between showings of Cinderallabration, although she will probably not be able to go on the actual ride with him due to legal concerns about characters inside dark rides.

Anyone who wants to stop by and cheer Ben on, just hang out at SWSA tomorrow between 12:10 and 12:20. Please don't be offended when he ignores you, being autistic he generally does not acknowledge anybody he doesn't know. Hopefully he will enjoy the surprises we have in store for him tomorrow.

Wow! I'm stuck 1200 miles away, but tomorrow around that time I'll be thinking magical thoughts. Thanks for keeping us updated - and make sure we get lots of pics!

Congrats to Ben on his 1,000th!! May he have many more 1,000s on SWSA.
That's great your having them do something for it. Too bad there isn't a pin or something that says "1,000 Rides on SWSA." They probably would but, how many other people ride SW 100s of times, let alone 1,000s.

I am virtually certain that Ben has ridden SWSA more times than any other person on the planet, and that I run a close second. :p

Thanks to the very kind work of tk421-sw, Ben will be getting a personal meet-and-greet with Snow White herself at noon tomorrow, and then she will escort him to SWSA and go on the ride with him for the big 1000.

Words can't even describe how appreciative of everyone who has made this possible. Tomorrow is going to be a very special day for Ben, and we all just couldn't be happier about how it is all turning out.

That's amazing! I am sure that Ben is going to love it! that really is special, and it made me smile. Have fun tomorrow and congrats on the 1k!!! :)

Just a quick follow-up to let folks know that SW1K came off beautifully, and that Snow White did indeed go on the 1000th ride with Benjamin this afternoon. I am dead beat right now, but I will post full details later once I have had a nap and maybe some dinner.

this is by far one of the most touching threads i've read since I joined this board. And the show I'm in right now has me on an emotional roller coaster. No fair catching me off guard like this, I'm generally really cynical lol.

I can't wait to hear about the entire day!

How cute. :) I'm glad your son has something he enjoys so much as that ride. I'm amazed that the entire MK experience isn't too much for him (with it being too much on already overloaded senses - I read in the previous post he's autistic) but that rather, he gets such enjoyment out of the ride. A good friend of mine's daughter is autistic - friends, April is Autistm Awareness Month - so it makes me smile to think you have such a nice treat for him as that.
