SW Mine Train = Grizzly Gulch? CircusLand = TSL?

I'm picturing Heimlich's Chew Chew(DCA) with repurposed figures from the attraction. Anything better than that would just be gravy.

I sure hope it would be better than that

Like, BTMRR for kids at heart is what I'm hoping for. Rather than thrill, there are cool effects.

who the heck are you and why do you speak as if you know exactly what is going on until Lee comes in...then you seem to shudder away from your confidence... are you just repeating what you've heard on here? or do you actually have information?

Wow, take a chill pill buddy.:lol:

Just remember Lee saying, while I was still lurking, that it wasn't going to be very "coaster-like" and people were getting too held up on the word coaster.

This is why I am holding on to the idea they may build the area closely following the artist renderings but with the venues (m&g's) repurposed and a large portion of the new ride dropping down beneath the structures at utilidor level. I'm just saying it would be awesome if they did that. Speculation on my part.

Ya'know, I thought the same thing. There's no reason the mini-mine coaster couldn't be built UNDER the buildings. Because of the terrain here in Florida, you'd have to build the chateau (or whatever it ends up being) up a bit, but the hill you build could actually be the ride building.

They could change Aurora's cottage to Snow White's and make that the queue house. There's no reason you couldn't add this to the existing plans.

Interesting speculation...but incorrect.

And when I say not to get hung up on the word "coaster", I mean don't picture another Barnstormer. It ain't gonna be like that.

I'm imagining somthing sort of spaced out, doesn't go very high (maybe it gains momentum from a launch, though a very tame one like 0 to 15 ), some gentle hills and a few sharp turns and that's about it. This section probably only happens during the mine segment, but goes through a dark ride like pace through scenes of the rest of the movie. Somthing like that?

Logic would tell you it's going to be a kiddie-style coaster/dark ride style ride because of the area it may be planned for and it's subject matter.

But we don't even know if the mine coaster idea is still even on the table. At that, we don't know where it will go. Everything is speculation.

Nah...not really speculation.
All we lack are some theming and design details and a name.
It is a mine train ride, and it is going in the middle on the expansion area.

I keep picturing something like The Mummy at Uni but much much less intense. To me using tracks in this style is a completely underutilized dark ride configuration. From a children's ride to an intense E Ticket thrill ride, there are so many possibilities.

The Mummy is probably the most underrated ride ever.

It seems several factors have already decided, in large measure, what the "ride" will be.
1. It is in a fantasy land expansion replacing kiddie attractions
2. The speculation includes the name "Snow White".
3. The word "coaster" could be either slow or fast
4. Fantasy land already has several "dark" rides.

Add them together and the result is rather milque-toast.

Of course, IMO. Here's hoping I'm wrong.

Or the most overrated. I was completely underwhelmed, even while actively fearing that my first ride on this much-hyped attraction would explode my "Nobody does it better than Disney" prejudices, leaving them in a pile of rubble at my feet.

Maybe it's just the premise of the thing. What's the story? Is it that real evil mummies have invaded the set of a movie being made about pretend evil mummies? Did they fly in from Egypt on a 747? That's supposed to be scary or persuasive? Maybe I missed something, but the backstory is just idiotic, in my opinion.

As for the ride itself, I really believe that Expedition Everest exceeds it by a wide margin, on the rare occasion that yeti is actually working.

Now as for Spiderman, that's a different story...
