On Saturday April 15 at 4:30-5:30 EST, Star Wars Celebration will be holding a panel on the development and construction of the new Star Wars themed lands coming to Disneyland and Disney's Hollywood Studios (or whatever it's going to be called).

No panelists have been announced yet, but Scott Trowbridge, head of WDI's Star Wars design studio, will certainly be one of them.

Can't wait till Saturday to see if we get any information on the land

Seeing the lines of people waiting for 3 hours or so to get into the Convention ... the parks better prepare for even worse IMHO when SWL opens. I don't think they even realize the crush they'll get. Disneyland will be an absolute nightmare. They really should have at least opened the lands together. I know people think Disneyland can handle it better but I think DHS could have handled it better opening it first.

Either way, it's going to be a mess.
DL has tiny walk ways (though I'm hoping that they will be wider in the Star Wars area). DHS has a smaller attraction count. It's really going to be a nightmare for at least a year (at least that's my guess for DHS).

The Carrie tribute was superbly done. I teared up, and then I cried. A lot. She was a force of nature, and it's hard to believe she's gone.

Agreed on both, each park has it's problems in terms of handling crowds and absorbing them ... should be very interesting to see it play out. I already feel for the castmembers. LOL

I can see Disney only keeping DHS open for multi-day visitors for a bit. "Want to fly on the Falcon? You'll have to be at the parks for at least two days."

Epcot is going to be a nightmare by default of location. Suddenly Ratatouille and whatever is going into the UK (though it might not be a ride) makes more sense. Those two pavilions are right by the International Gateway. Those turned away at the gate at DHS could find themselves walking, or taking the gondola or boat, to the nearest park. And what do you know, there are two new attractions waiting for them at the gates of Epcot. Disney needs to start Epcot construction pronto.

I'm not expecting a lot out of the trailer, mostly just ships, battles, lightsabers, and Carrie Fisher's face at some point (which will make me pause the video and cry for awhile), but Luke better talk. Like, if the whole trailer is nothing but music playing, Luke better have that "Chewie, we're home" moment at the end of the trailer. Or beginning, I don't care, but Luke Skywalker needs to talk. I'm guessing that it will be him saying "Who are you?" to Rey after she gives him Anakin's lightsaber, but we won't know for sure until the trailer is out there.

"To introduce you to Kelly Marie Tran who plays-" *cuts to music*
"So my character's name is Rose". Part of the resistance, works in maintenance.

Welcome to the Star Wars family, Kelly.

The last line spoken in the trailer is really interesting!
Luke clearly changed his mind about the Jedi, since most of the trailer is him training Rey
.

I'm really interested to see how much Poe gets to do in this movie. He really had the least amount to do of the new big three in The Force Awakens.
