Survivor: Cook Islands

One of the best episodes in a long time. Jonathan made the only move he could to stay in the game. He will go down as one of the wiliest players (along with Richard Hatch and Jonny Fairplay) to be on Survivor.

Ozzy is a strong player, but I 'm surprised he went a long with the group to get rid of Nate. I guess he was cultivating Nate because his side didn't have the votes, and when they did have the votes, he dropped him.

The survivor finale wil be on 12/17.

Yes, it was good. I was fully expecting the Immunity Idol to come into play last night, but Jonathan flopped again. If he doesn't win, I feel no sympathy towards him; if he does, he did an unbelieveable job. The faces on Nate's tribemates were priceless. Ozzy is made for this game, but his strength will be his downfall.

This certainly was a great episode! Kudos to Yul for figuring out who might flip and using the threat of the idol properly. He is one of the sharpest people ever to play this game.

Oddly enough, Jonathan is in a good position. As Yul noted, he's double-crossed everyone and is supposedly good F2 material. However, Jonathan could use his flip-flopping to his advantage. The guy who started the trend of swapping alliances at the right time (Amazon Rob) finished the game with significant respect from those he had outwitted. So much so that he was a virtual lock to win had he made it to F2. I'm not saying Jonathan is in as good of a position as Amazon Rob was, but with the right jury speech, he has a chance.

The vote was awesome, and Nate could not believe it. If Jonathan makes it to F2, look for a crybaby jury speech from Nate. Of the remaining Rarities, Adam and Candice took the news as expected. They looked dumbfounded. Of course, using the word "dumb" when speaking of Adam and Candice is redundant. Only Parvati looked like she fully understood what had just happened. Shockingly, she has seemed to be the braintrust, such as it is, of Raro.

That was a really great episode. I'm really enjoying this season.

3 Weeks Ago:
Raro - 8 members
Aitu - 4 members

Now:
Former Raro - 4 members
Former Aitu - 4 members
and you could say Jonathan is back with Aitu. Great job by Yul, he has to be one of the smarter players the game has seen.

I forgot about Rob C. He is "The Best Player Never to Win Survivor".

Agreed!
As for this season . . . until recently, I wasn't enjoying this season because there just weren't any personalities to make it interesting, at least for me. But the last 2 shows made up for that. The twists and turns and the emergence of some real players are turning this show around!

I hope it's him and Yul for the money.
yul is in a good spot, especially with the Idol in hand.

I'm not sure what Jonathan could have done. His alliance members would not listen to him about "what if" Yul had the Idol. Except maybe Jonathan lie to Yul and get Nate voted out that way. Jonathan would have saved himself and get the Idol from Yul. But that would be risky as well.

As soon as Aitu was knocked down to 4, I was pulling for those 4 to make it all the way, and hopefully I'm not disappointed. Ozzy and Yul are two of the best players of all time, and the past few episodes have really helped this season along.

It's almost like Jonathan is the 'Mole' (greatest reality show ever). He annoys everyone and flips the game constantly.

I think the best player is Becky. She's letting Yul be the front man and take the heat from the rest of the tribe, while she sits back and coasts to the final 3.

Still need to get rid of two people in one week. Seven players are left with only 2 regular episodes left and the two hour finale (December 17). Finale usually starts with the final 4, so they need to get rid of 3 players in two shows.

Is it me or did Yul seem a little on the cocky side in the last episode? He's virtually guaranteed to the Final 4, but his attitude seemed a little "assured" Thursday night.

I agree, SpongeScott, Yul was definitely a bit on the self-satisfied side this last show. It's hard to argue with the attitude, though, because he's played extremely well to-date. He wisely kept Jonathan and booted one of the whining, lazy idiots.

Yul's biggest mistake: telling Becky that he has to consider what the idiots have proposed because he doesn't want to lose their votes to whoever he's in the final two with. It wasn't a mistake to mention the final two, because everyone should be working towards that. The mistake was saying whoever instead of Becky.

artvandelay - Yes! Jonathan is like the Mole, and the Mole was a fantastic show. I even liked the d-list celebrity editions!

So, Yul decided that Jonathan was too dangerous to keep around. I kind of don't blame him. I don't think he did it to appease the two remaining whiny idiots. I think he wanted Jonathan out because Jonathan was the smartest and wiliest player left in the game.

I think Yul bigger threat was "lover boy", is it Adam?

Adam can win immunity, Johathan can't even walk up the sand without tripping. There is no way anyone would have picked Jonathan to win, so why not keep him for a while.

Now personally, I'm glad Jonathan is gone. He was a little to self assured.
