Survivor: Cook Islands

Love the show! The only thing I am worried about even more than a regular season is that if one race team goes in to a merge with big numbers will they just pick everyone else off?

Does anyone think there will be an early merge like after two shows or will they let it go down to possibly eliminating a group?

Last comment, I think the AA tribe is in for trouble after voting out a strong guy. I do not think those particular women were very strong in the first challenge and now with only one guy can they beat the CA group who also looked weak?

First Challenge placing:
1) Asian Team
2) Hispanic Team
3) Caucasian American Team
4) African American Team

Another good show. I really question the decision to throw the immunity challenge. There are very few situations where I think it would be a good strategic move. Keep the dead weight around until you legitimately lose a challenge. It's better to have more allies, especially ones your other allies are willing to toss when it comes time.

We went back and watched the scene at the end of the challenge where the alleged "I love yous" were exchanged. Poor, deluded Billy. After Billy said he was next to go, Candice, who was leaning on Parvati, said "Aww, we love you." It was pretty clear there wasn't any emotion behind her words. Go back to your heavy metal culture, Billy, because you can't read a room, and that's the primary skill required of Survivor contestants.

Speaking of Candice and Parvati (both hott!), the eye candy quotient is definitely up this year. Aside from those two, Becky, Rebecca, Sundra, and (especially) Cecilia are all total babes.

Two interesting twists tonight! First, Candice (stupidly) leaves the tribe where there are at least two people (Ozzy, Sundra) who will get the boot before she does. This means she already had a ticket to the merge. Bad decision. The only dumber move was Jonathan following her.

Second interesting twist - Brad is the first member of the jury. Assuming there will be two people in the finals, the jury would have 10 people. This brings up the potential for a tie. How will they resolve that?

I'm rooting for Yul. He seems to be the smartest, most level-headed player in the game. And he has the immunity necklace.

Those were interesting twists tonight. I told my wife that no one would be stupid enough to mutiny on their tribe--I was wrong. :hammer: I would have liked to have seen Jonathan go first, but he'll get his in the end. I was very happy for Aitu winning both challenges tonight after they got jilted.

As for a tie, a fire-making contest on live TV at the reunion show?

Candice and Jonathan = stupid!
What were they thinking???

Interesting twist on the jury. . .
10 members?
Can't wait to see how that works out.

I liked the mutiny, but I thought Candice and Jonathon were dumb for leaving their tribe. I think the personalities in this season are a little bland, but as of last night Yul is becoming my favorite player. I would like to see the tribes get mixed up again instead of a merge any time soon.

I've thought about the 3 finalists, 9 jury member option. However, you could still have a tie.

The additional jury members allow the season finale to be longer with more "questioning" from the jury. And from Mark Burnett's perspective, an increased chance of bitter, childish, ratings-friendly speechifying.

I have a crazy thought. What if the vial contains a blank voting paper? Whoever gets voted out next gets two votes for the ultimate winner. That would eliminate the possibility of a tie. If this is true, the next person voted out should be from Chicago. Heh.

LOL. That's an interesting idea.

They're down to nine with probably only 5 shows left. The finale will should be on Sunday, December 17th. I think there's one more double eviction to get down to 4 on finale night.

Well, I was completely wrong about the bottle, and I'm glad I was. I had nothing against Rebecca, but Jenny seemed snotty and unnecessarily mean. Glad they had an extra boot. The only one I can stand on that tribe now is Parvati (or, as Probst would say, "Poverty"). I sense that she is the true power player on Raro. For that reason, I am fine with her advancing in the game.

As for the Aitunes, I like all of 'em. I hope they stick together at least until the final five.
