Survivor: Blood vs. Water

Forgot to add this last night. Looks like they might be switching the groups up next week, probably trying to even out the numbers a bit. At first I thought it was the merge, but then I thought it was kind of early for that yet (based on last season, at least).

It's probably going to be one of those "drop your buffs, everybody grab an egg and smash it to reveal a color" shake-ups.

Will be interesting to see who ends up on a team with their loved one and how it alters alliances.

I too was glad to see the newbies win immunity. It spiced things up at the returnee's camp. Laura M. was really getting into that massage...kinda weird. Laura B. was pretty annoying. Kat is just there in the background. Love Aras' strategy of not wanting to go too crazy getting what he wanted on that first vote since it wasn't that big of a vote anyway.

Tyson looked like a newborn giraffe trying to throw that ring and fetch it...totally weird.

Now the question becomes can Ciera handle it after seeing her mom at Redemption?

I keep forgetting about that aspect of voting someone off.

How gross was that whole thing with Katie's falling off toenails. I get ill just thinking about it. So nasty.

Not sure if those two would swap or not. I don't think Laura would want Ciera out of the game, redemption island is an automatic out her Ciera IMO.

No way they switch. Mom won't let her. She'll think that she can beat Brad at the duel and let Ciera stay in her tribe.

And is this the week where they bring the 2 remaining at RI back into the game? Would make sense to do that if they are mixing up the tribes.

Once I saw the RI challenge, I knew Pep was toast. It didn't require any brawn or athletic ability, so the advantage went to Laura. Balance, yes, but athletic ability, no. I didn't really like how the new tribes were set up, but it shouldn't be too long before they are mixed up again with the RI folks returning.

Very smooth way that Tyson and Gervase just talked to them and got the clues to the idol. They just spilled everything. And Tyson just throwing Aras under the bus at the new camp was funny.

All that talk from Kat about Monica shutting up and she talks too much to the wrong person. Very early on Tina was a blabbermouth, so why would you trust her to not say anything? Especially after her pathetic performance in the challenge, Tina or Mrs. Rupert should have been on the chopping block. They would be smart to get rid of Vytas or Aras because they are going to be powerful once they get together at a merge.

I can't believe they let Tina and Katie stay together. Tina seemed the obvious choice based on the challenge. There are only a few pairs of loved ones left - Aras/Vytas, Tina/Katie and possibly Kat/Hayden or Laura/Ciera. Am I missing anyone?

I'm not a fan of the new tribes. I'm hoping some drama either rises, or they go to the merge soon. And did anyone else noticed the horrible balance John has? It might just be his height, but I also noticed both Brad and John stood and bent over to untie the bags. Laura had the right idea of kneeling down to create a lower center of gravity. That's one of the reasons she won by such a large margin.

Aras played well and won his season, and based on his performance on the last show, Vytas is just as skilled at the game. The coming attractions make it look like Aras is in trouble; Let's see if it pans out or if Aras catches on and makes a counter-move.

1. Laura B has to be the stupidest contestant on the show this season.

2. They left a dangerous threat in the game.

3. Next week should be exciting with the merge and Redemption Island returnee. The challenge looks like it will favor John due to strength and endurance. Laura B looks like she will be the first out. Should be interesting, and I'm very excited to see who wins!

As expected, Kat was worthless and cried a lot. She's really not a good player. She knew she was in trouble with the puzzle, but they did make the right choice to leave him in the game where he is at. She had no chance of winning the game.

Laura B. committed the sin of getting too comfortable. And then she talked too much. I don't see her being strong enough to survive that challenge and get back in the game.

I do think they missed a huge opportunity to get rid of a major threat in Vytas. Dude is playing an outstanding game. Played right into the women's minds and got them to take out one of their own.

Totally digging Tyson's game so far. Playing very well.

Looks like a real merge next week and the fireworks begin. Should be fun.

Kat is so pathetically insecure it's embarrassing - crying that Hayden might break up with her because she didn't make the merge? Just sad.

I feel like tonight's challenge favors Laura M. because she's smaller - less weight to support and easier to wrap herself around the post and hang on.

Tonight should be good.

If I was Hayden, I'd breakup with her just because she thought I'd break up with her for that stupid reason.

And I think it's a toss up between John and Laura M. If Laura B makes it, the world has officially ended. John has superior strength, but he his more weight. As for the easier to wrap herself around, John has longer arms (I'm assuming, I haven't examined this), so he might be able to get a tighter grip. This one if all about endurance. Should be exciting!

His confessional when they returned to camp was bizarre - it sounded like he was calling her a bit of a simpleton. If I were her and I saw THAT I would be so mad!!
