Survivor: Blood vs. Water

I don't think there is a clear-cut winner this year like there was last year. Tyson and Gervase both have jury members who hold grudges against them. Monica has been pretty good with immunity challenges, but she doesn't play a good game overall. Ciera has to overcome being on the bottom if she wants to win, so does anyone else who comes back from Redemption. If Laura can somehow get to the top 3, she would get my vote just because she had to work the hardest to get there. Last season's finale was very predictable with Cochran, it should be interesting to see what goes down!

Colton. Bank on it. I saw it in the spoilers for tomorrow's finale. It'll be the biggest surprise to a Survivor season yet. That's right. You heard it here first.
Turns out he has just been hiding in the bushes this whole time. Clever strategy - make everybody think that you aren't even there, therefore, nobody can write your name down. Genius!

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
IMO:
Tyson is a jerk.
Gervase (who I still like a lot) is too lippy.
Monica has been amazing, but her paranoia has annoyed her tribemates.
Ciera has never appealed to me. I would never, ever, not for a million bucks, write down my mom's name, and it turns out the dummy didn't even have to. That act alone should have tipped off her alliance that she wasn't loyal.
Tina has already won. Can't see her winning the truel anyway.
I read in the pre-season spoilers that Hayden is the last tribemate to be added to the jury (repeated by Elissa on BB this summer 3x).
If Laura makes it to the final 3, the million bucks is her's.

So, in summary, I would like Hayden to win, followed by Monica, then Tina.
I think Laura will win, followed by Tyson, then Monica.
Fan Favourite - Hayden, if Brenchel's army has anything to do with it.

Most despicable player ever (even worse than Russell, who I actually like) - Colton.

I'm interested in seeing if for the reunion show tonight, they allow all the contestants on stage, or just the jurors & winners.
Last season started the jurors only on stage routine due to Brandon's banning from the reunion show, and the producers not wanted it to stand out that he wasn't present. Jeff Probst has said this may become a tradition from here on to only have jurors on stage while the contestants voted out earlier remain in the audience. Personally I'd prefer to have all contestants on stage.

No more Rob, Rudy, Richard, or Russell. Please.

I don't think Rudy knows where he is anymore.

But yeah let's just focus on the current contestants.

Anyone have an guesses for the twist for next season?

All caught up on my Ponderosa episodes.

Caleb and Colton? In a parallel Universe, maybe.
Here on Earth? I ... don't ... get ... it.

Quick guess before they reveal the new season: Burn Baby Burn??

BBB + Fire would make sense, but I don't know what the theme for that would be??

No Fan Favourite this year?

Did CBS figure that Rupert would have been a shoe-in?

Cried more during this episode than ever before.

Partly because of Monica's vulnerability (Have none of you never known a nice person?), and the Tina/Katie loss; and partly because the worst day of my life coincided with a Survivor finale show.

Very sad about Tina & Katie's loss. Glad they still showed up at the finale.

I agree with @PUSH in that Tyson certainly deserved to win the game. Whether you love him or hate him...he had all the right puzzle pieces in place to win the season: Good at challenges, excellent strategic moves, and while he put the prize over making friends, he certainly didn't pull a Russell and alienate the tribe. He was clever without being too vicious, and cunning without being a backstabber. All the right formula to win the respect of both his allies & rivals. Great season, Tyson!

Gervase I would've liked to have seen win more challenges & do more strategic moves in the game. He kinda rode the coattail of Tyson all the way to the end without really making major game plays himself overall. I like the guy, but wish he had done more.

Monica followed in the shadows of Tyson & Gervase way too long before finally starting to stand on her own two feet. This is what hurt her the worst (though being married to a multi-millionaire former NFL player didn't help her case either in needing the prize $$$ heavily).
But I seriously doubt that wayed too heavily in the jury's mind. What really stuck out was how Tyson ran the show so heavily compared to the other 2 finalists...and above all earned the win through & through.

Once again, excellent season! Now how long until February?

Tyson was great. I'm glad he won. But I hope we never see him again.

I wish they wouldn't have returning winners or anyone who is already famous or wealthy as contestants. The big attraction of "reality" shows to me is that they give random anonymous people their 15 minutes of fame and a shot at riches. They "democratize" celebrity a little bit. Nothing against Tina, but I was very happy when she was voted off. I've already seen her win.

Does CBS have the Superbowl this year? Maybe the premiere after the Superbowl (they did that a few years ago).

3 tribes is always awkward for the first few weeks. Too much time at the 3 different camps and not enough time getting to know anyone. I remember 2 other seasons with 3 tribes - the one where they divided by race, and the one they had the first 5 or so voted out come back as their own team of misfits. Anyone remember others?

CBS does not have the SB this year - Fox does.

And I didn't know they've ever had three tribes. I don't know how I'd like that. Is it the same amount of people as normal?

PS- They didn't do the "walk down memory lane" bit last night.
