I think this might be interesting...how about we post our "numbers" for our Super Bowl squares...that way, we can know who won some moolah :)

I have 4...

Raiders-5
Bucs-9

Raiders-3
Bucs-8

Raiders-7
Bucs-7

Raiders-0
Bucs-0

Hmmm...I kinda thought it was self explanatory

Well, for the "BIG GAME" (Erika that's for you)...people set up a grid (10x10) and you buy a "square" in the grid. The entire grid gets filled up (say it's $5.00 per box) then the entire pot is $500

(100 squares X $5.00 per square)

after the names have been entered into all 100 squares (names of people who bought that square), numbers are drawn and placed into the grid randomly...(0-9 for each side...columns and rows)

the columns are designated to either the AFC or the NFC team...and the rows are designate to the opposite.

now...with the numbers in place...you find your square...say you are in the #4 column and the #8 row. If the Raiders are the columns and the Bucs are in the rows:

if the score is 28-14 (Bucs ahead), then you would win (if that is the final score of a quarter) (you go by the last number in the score for each team)

For instance...if you look at my numbers...

If nobody scores in the first quarter...I will win (0-0)
If the score is 18-3 Bucs at the end of the half, then I will win
(Bucs 8, Raiders-3)

get it?

(It's a fun bet because you don't need to know ANYTHING about football to have fun with it...it's all based on chance :) (Some numbers are better than others...for instance...0-0 has hit more than any other combination in Super Bowl history) (8's and 5's are tough...because it's hard to get an 8, 18...and 5, 15, 25, etc.)

Oh no, I've gone cross-eyed. :veryconfu

Not obvious for the first quarter...but you've got some great numbers for the rest of the game.

wdwfreak, disneyinsider and dizneykev got all the good numbers. They're pretty much guaranteed wins.

What are you guys going to leave for the rest of us...... 1,1 or 2,2 or 5,5.

What are the odds?

The only way for it to be completely fair is to randomly place names on the grid and then place the numbers across the horizontal and vertical axises. But that can't be exactly done here.

 we just posted the numbers we had on our personal square pools

But, even though I had no winners on what I posted...We had a superbowl party with $5 squares and I walked away with $375 of the $500  (it was a last minute thing)

(I had 3-3, Tampa-0 Raiders-3, and Tampa-8 Raiders-1)

Ok, the reason I won...for the people who still don't understand...

The score after the first quarter was:
Tampa-3
Raiders-3
(I had 3-3)

The score after the second quarter was:
Tampa-20
Raiders-3
(I had Tampa-0 Raiders-3)

I lost the third quarter.

The score at the end of the game was:
Tampa-48
Raiders-21
(I had Tampa-8 Raiders-1)

Freak, no pun intended, but did you freak out when they scored that last TD with two seconds left? I heard of a guy in our town that was in a winner take-all squares and had 1 and 1 to walk away with $5000 and then they scored that last TD.

put it this way...the person that had 1-1 was the LAST person I wanted to win...so I was FLIPPING OUT!!!!

Freak you did pretty well...winning three out of four quarters.

I never win them...and going into it...I figured I had a chance on my other pool with 0-0 and 7-7...but this one was a last minute one lol
