Yep...I'm in hiding, but I am there. The list of people to avoid got way too long, so I figured I'd just make myself invisible to all. YAY! I can do magic! :lol: However, people are starting to figure me out & IM me anyway. I don't block IMs, just visibility. Fortunately, the people being avoided haven't caught on yet.

Is that something you can only do on AOL.... cause I would love to know how to do that sometimes on AIM hehe...

Oh, don't treat me like the typical SoFla bleach-blonde beach bunny (say that 5 times fast :lol: ). If I were avoiding anyone here, I certainly would know better than to post. However, the Braves boards are missing me today. Getting kinda volatile in there. Way too opinionated. And for some reason, they all want to talk to ME about it! :rolleyes: I feel like an umpire! Strike, three...I'm invisible! :lol:

Visual Calculus...eww...so are you using it to find the derivative of an implicitly defined function using implicit differentiation? And if so...are you also going to find the equation of a tangent line to a curve which implicitly defines a function?

Just remember::

A relation F(x,y) = 0 is said to define the function y = f(x) implicitly if, for x in the domain of f, F(x,f(x)) = 0

Given a differentiable relation F(x,y) = 0 which defines the differentiable function y = f(x), it is usually possible to find the derivative f' even in the case when you cannot symbolically find f. The method of finding the derivative which is illustrated in the following examples is called implicit differentiation.

Damn..now my brain hurts...

Well..sorta..my old notes..I didnt type out the examples yet::

x² + y² = r²

x² + 5x - 4y² + 3y + 21 = 0

x³ - 7x²y³ + 4y² = -16

sin(2x - 7y) = 16y

ACK! I must run from this thread at once! I thought I was long past done with that stuff & now I'm having nightmarish flashbacks! Are you sure you don't need help with Literature or History? :D

I was a psych major...anyone need to be analyzed? :D I decided to "take a break" because I was nearing a meltdown. Unfortunately, my brain has not yet return to fully functional levels & I have yet to go back. Since I have so much free time on my hands, I suppose I now lack an excuse! :rolleyes: Besides, i can't wait to officially be able to tell friends & family that they're certifiable!
