I just came across this video & I enjoyed it so much I figured the nuts on here would appreciate it as much as I did!! Really puts you inside the place while being built! Enjoy friends:wave:

"Construction of the Contemporary Hotel. Assembly of guest rooms. Shots of the under construction Magic Kingdom from the Contemporary. We see partially completed Main Street area and Cinderella Castle. Shots of various attractions including Haunted Mansion, Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, Main Street USA, Assembly of Paddle Riverboat and Topiary Nursery."

My pleasure! I love how you can see the place before it's "alive" or before the show & cast are added.....no music......all quiet....odd structures being errected in the florida swamp....just so awesome to me...

Thanks for posting! What's kind of cool is that I had heard for years that a unique way of constructing the Contemporary was that they built the rooms separately while also building the framework and then they just slid the rooms into the framework like drawers. Then I read not too long ago that that was just an urban legend and I was kind of bummed because I always thought it was a cool story, and I hated finding out that it supposedly was not true. However, this video appears to confirm that it is true after all. Very cool!

Those construction guys had no idea that they were building the best place on earth!

Even then, the parking lot was crowded....

The construction part is true. The urban legend was that they could be slid back out when it was time for a refurb. That is not possible. BTW, the Poly aw built tha same way.
