(Information taken from internet.com discussion forums):

This spring guests visiting The Land at Epcot will find a new restaurant featuring flavors of the seasons of the year. Called Sunshine Seasons, the restaurant will be a new kind of quick-service operation with unique menu offerings and ingredients.

The restaurant will feature a central open, onstage kitchen so guests can see their selections being prepared. there will be four menu stations, each representing a season.

The Wood-Fired Grill (fall season) will feature grilled and rotisserie selections. The Soup and Salad Shop (spring) will offer freshly made soups and a selection of salads. The Asian Wok Shop (summer) will serve noodle bowls and stir fry. The Sandwich Shop (winter) will feature hearty sandwiches.

There will also be a bakery to satisfy the guest's sweet tooth.

An exact opening date has not been announced.

Observations

1. Sunshine Seasons is a very clever way to revive the "Sunshine Season Food Fair" title! Almost reminds me of the new Darden restaurant...

2. The theming (seasons) is also clever. It complements the new design for the balloons (each themed to a season)

3. The Land reopening is apparently being pushed back to April 26 (unconfirmed, but likely)

4. More Noodles?! :D

5. "Asian Wok Shop" sounds cheesy... and sandwiches for winter? Uhh.. okay? :D

Hmmmm...interesting stuff Grizz...can't wait to see how the pavilion looks after all the changes...

I dunno...sounds like this may be more appropriate...

Spring: Salads, Sandwiches
Summer: Ice Cream, Burgers, Hot Dogs, etc.
Autumn: Turkey, Pumpkin offerings, squash, etc.
Winter: Soups, Cocoas, etc.

:lookaroun

Now, back to reality...I approve so far!

mmmm that sounds good :slurp: I think I'm really hungry right now because everyones ideas sounds so good. Family Mans Mickeyroni and Cheese, Grizzes Nestle Cookies, Disneygirls Cheese and Bacon Potatoes, Micbats BBQ sandwiches, and Mouserights Ice cream sundaes idea. Anyone want to go out to eat?? :)

The only thing that seems strange to me is the Winter idea of Sandwiches...and that's only because here in winter that's the last thing we make. That's usually a spring/summer thing because in the winter we want warmer things because it's so cold. But I guess in FL with it being warm most of the time that's not really an issue. Everything sounds really good though.

While I love the sound of this one thing no one has pointed out is how much it sounds just like the food court at Pop Century or the All-Stars. Not that I see anything wrong with that, but reading the piece from eyes and ears all I could see was the screen flashing the specials over and over again above my head. Again there is nothing wrong with this and I am really happy they are getting something back in there that does sound like a step up it is just odd how they can spin something.

As far as why noodle places are popping up like ODV carts at DL? They have found one thing, asain guest really are not big into the burger/chicken fingers. They have finally tapped inot a area that has gone ignored for the longest time. In the past one of the reason asain guest have not gone to theme parks or not stayed all day is lack of food items they want. I would bet this idea will be expanding into the other 2 parks soon.

Anyway can't wait to see all the pics. And remeber Soarin' is a film based attraction and in a few months time it will still be the same film based attraction.

Goodbye, Chicken Parmesean.

Well, that's progress for ya.:(

I suppose, though, it's a small price to pay for a great new ride in the pavillion. And at least it isn't an airport food court. Yeesh.

I think that's all the poor woman ever gets to say.
