Sunblock?

Hey Ya'all!

Im headed for a 7day eastern Caribean cruise Soon. I wanted to Know what kid of SPF i should wear. Im a fair skined person, but Im going tanning before we go so I'll have Base tan, so I shouldnt burn. I usually go to the beach everyday here in NJ n I wear an 8 and Im fine, but i herad the sun is brutal there. My mom wants me to wear a 30 but I think I wont get tan If I do that. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I've had very good results with Bullfrog. The only time my daughter EVER got a sunburn is when we ran out, and I bought Banana Boat at a resort. I use the stick on my (and my family's) face and the gel everywhere else. I also wear a hat ALL the time; I even have old ones to wear boogie-boarding.

I am a New Englander and we are all just about fair skinned. I laid out on a raft when I was about 12 in Key West and suffered an unbelievable burn. I think a doc would have probably diagnosed sun stroke and man was I sick. Better off to be safe then sorry. If you dont come back with quite the tan you wanted at least your vacation wont be completely ruined. I can stiil smell that damn solicaine my parents hosed me down with after....and the vinyl seats of the rental car....ohhhhhhhhhhh...on the backs of my scorched legsssssssss.....aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!
