My DS and my DW are both dark skinned so they tan very easy so it's a factor 6 for them..Spray on..Me however, being fair haired, like your prince in many fairy tales, have to go for a factor 15 as I burn very easy,so I use a tequila based with peanut butter cream sun lotion,it smells wonderful. Its called Mexican Tropic and has added agave juice for that bronze look.

I use Aveeno 55 on my sun. He is so pale from Minnesota weather that he glows in the dark. Me on the other hand, I use 30 or so since I don't burn easily. My husband (eye roll) refuses to put on any kind of lotion so he just fries... (Head shake). :)

Edit: funny that I put "sun" instead of "son". I guess I am dreaming about it! We don't see much here!

I'll be keeping an eye on this one. My skin has two colors--pale and red. My DS is closer to me. DH actually will tan, and my DD has never experienced sun burn. For March, I usually bring Coppertone waterbabies, and I am good for a while. I suspect there will be some diligent reapplying going on in June.
 Twa coloured skins! At least yer Pale and Red..It could be worst, look at those poor penguins ( black & white ) :(

I don't use any. I have a naturally darker complexion. The wife and kids usually have a bit of a base tan so unless we are doing long hours in the pool it's SPF 15. Use SPF 30 for pool time or if they haven't gotten a lot of sun prior to. As for the brand I buy them Bullfrog. iI's a bit more expensive but stays on in the water, sweat, humidity, etc.. The wife buys Coppertone if she is buying it.

I'm a big fan of Coppertone Sport and that new stuff in the silver bottles. It holds up very well, even when swimming. Most will work if you don't swim. But many drop the ball when you're in and out of the water. Not Coppertone!

I haven't tried them all, though. Found one that worked and stuck with it. :)

My 7 year old has a sunscreen allergy (breaks Out in hives and swells) ughhhh! So we found two brands he can use COTZ (contains only zinc and titanium) and vanicream. Both work really well and are mild for sensitive skin.
I use copertone! Love the way it smells it reminds me if being a kid!

We take precautions because both me and my wife can burn easily. I wear a ball cap, she covers with a wide brim hat. Before heading out to the parks we spray with Coppertone sport, high performance, ultra sweatproof SPF 50, comes in a twist lock cap thats easy to open & close. And we bring the spray bottles in our backpack to reapply later in the day. Oh, and we always bring a spray can of Solarcane sunburn spray just in case.;)

And I wish my Vet could have given me a volume discount price to neuter my son when he did my dogs..:p
