I know. I just don't want to lose my house. There has to be and end to this our even the banks are going to go bankrupt. I even called our mortgage co being proactive instead of reactive and they said there is nothing they can do until you get behind and then not even then. WHAT are these people crazy why wouldn't you want to keep a customer that had been with u for 4 years instead of taking their house and LOSING money. I have to write a letter to someone my senator or congressman this has to stop.

I agree - our newspaper list foreclosure listings every Friday, and today was two whole pages. One of the many reasons why our school levies are going down in flames. :brick:

It's really scarey out there, and I don't envy anyone who is just starting out now. Greed and corruption has caused all this and now it's the little people who are paying the price.

I remember reading a book by a Christian financial planner, about how America's current financial situation, from gov't down to individuals, could not sustain itself, and we could potentially face a crisis worse than the Great Depression. Sometimes I wonder if that's possible, and what we're leaving behind for our kids to clean up.

I think it's entirely possible. We're a credit society now, and that can never be good. The generation before us knew how to save, and how to live within their means. Now it seems everyone wants the best, and they want it now, and the credit corporations are only too happy to make it happen.

Well, I will admit we bought into that too. :o But we're trying to make it right.

How do you find these sites, Steph! I love it! :ROFLOL: :ROFLOL:

I don't know. I rather like that one. Did you know that that's the only solo solo in the show?

I did know that. :D

They are great.:sohappy:

Exactly...:lookaroun

Still no sign of Roxxy. She hasn't responded to my email. I sent a message to her sister as well, no response there either. This is weird.

:( I really hope she's ok.

If not tonight in the next few weeks.:sohappy:

Man, I missed all the hubub! But you're right, it's coming! :D

I don't know how anyone wears contacts...*shudder*

You know me! I was wearing contacts when you met me...obviously. You saw me in my glasses. (Right...or did I put my contacts in before heading upstairs. Now I don't remember. )

I can tell you exactly what part of the problem is. It's people who are my age. The credit society is rampid in my age category and it's b/c we want everything our parents have already. So people my age don't want to start at the bottom and have minimal. They want to start at the top and have max and then hopefully get more from there. That's why there are people who are my age, just out of college who are buying (in my neighborhoods...$200 Thosand for a house is not a starter home) $200 Thousand dollar houses when they can really only afford somewhere around $150 or so...and then they have no furnature in their house b/c they can't afford it. It's really a sad thing. :(

You're right - classes in how to understand credit should be MANDATORY in high schools. Like I said earlier, foreclosures are rampant in Ohio, and I do believe part of the reason is some people choose to not live within their means. But also jobs are hard to come by around here and that is also a factor. Add in the cost of gas, meat, and milk...plus raising kids isn't cheap either. All the way around it isn't a good situation.
